"Very professional. Although bathroom was semi refinished, due to all the problems we had had with the company who had done the basement, we decided not to let the remodelers install the toilet and pedestal sink. Good call as it turned out to be more complex and I shudder to think what the original remodelers would have hacked in order to do it. The sink drain pipe had been torn off during demo and one of the two the two bolts on the floor for securing the toilet had also been sheared off. Paul told me that it would take more time then the big deal we purchased and also let me know about the extra charges for materials due to the situation. He was able to get the pedestal sink with faucet properly installed on the first visit. Then he called to let me know he had purchased the parts for the toilet install a few days later, came to our house at the appointed time and finished the toilet install. He invoiced me promptly via email and I was able to pay the extras via credit card. Both fixtures work well. Although it ended up costing about twice what we paid for the big deal, in the end we got a quality job from a very professional and knowledgeable plumber.

"Above & Beyond Construction lived up to their name yet again! The team was able to quickly help with our project of one complete bathroom gut renovation (tile, plumbing, custom built-ins, painting and installing all new fixtures) and an update to a half bath that included installing a custom vanity, new lighting, replacing the toilet and painting. We threw a lot of curveballs at them with our dated bathrooms, but they were able to incredibly work within two weeks to overhaul both bathrooms. Amazing! The team was very respectful of our family's safety with COVID precautions and minimized any concerns we might have had. I would 100% recommend using Above & Beyond for any projects, big or small. My house is over 100 years old and definitely had some quirks and communication about issues that came up along with potential solutions gave me such confidence and trust in the work that was being done. Pricing was very reasonable and Frank was wiling to work with me in a few areas to keep things within my budget. "I hired Salvador's company after talking with and receiving quotes from 4 companies. Salvador is very responsive. Salvador did a great job managing difficult schedules and was great at keeping in touch through this process. Although the project complete was of high quality, I'm mainly writing this review to highlight Salvador's professionalism through a particularly difficult challenge. After the drywall work was complete, his first (of two) floor crews came in to complete the hardwood floor installation. This first crew was NOT professional and installed the floor without providing the remedial work to the sub-floor that was needed for a quality installation. I wasn't made aware of this until the entire floor was completed an I noticed "soft spots" in several areas. I called Salvador to discuss the situation that day. Rather than try to argue that the installation was acceptable or give me a discount, Salvador asked if there was another day he could come by to redo the complete installation and absorb all costs to do so. This is a sign of a service provider that understands the value of a happy customer. Because of his actions, not only will I hire him again, but will also advocate for and recommend his company to others. Salvador demonstrated a high degree of integrity and clearly a positive resolve."

"Simply put, I could not recommend them enough. They were flexible and made the process easy. As this was our first rehab, this one took 18+ months due to legal and zoning. Throughout the entire process, James Construction group was happy to wait and consult as needed. I feel many companies may have moved on during this lull in our project and left us out. Once we finally got all the right paper work, they moved very quickly to rehab our house. All the while, we lived in the basement. Every contractor that came through for them was very nice and kept things as clean as possible (construction is always going to be dusty to a degree). As for the finishing, they made that easy too by allowing us to pick the big design elements but handled most of the "small finishes" that go overlooked but are a massive headache for the home owner. For example, baseboard trim was something we weren't very passionate about and let the company match up to our style - it looked great! With any construction project, there's bound to be change orders. James Construction was always flexible, assisting in anyway they could. We had an extra last-minute bath remodel that they team executed flawlessly, even though many of the contractors that were needed for the project had already done their jobs on the bigger parts of the houses. With the finished product, we couldn't be happier. If you have a rehab or want to upgrade, this is the right company for you. They're budget friendly, too!"
