"Paul did a nice job installing the new faucets. He even tried to get rid of some stains on the bathroom countertop left by one of our old faucets! We had a competing quote from another plumber and were surprised at how competitive The Clean Plumbers are. I do wish they would provide rough estimates over the phone though, especially for straightforward jobs like replacing old faucets."

"Garrett came on Monday morning to start the job. The line had been marked and went under my garage floor, so they had to trench out through the concrete. They told me up front that the entire job could take three days. So, they very carefully cut the trench and started breaking up the concrete. Note, that my start date is in August, so this was very hot work. Day two they completed getting rid of the concrete and unearthing the sewer line. The found it was ABS piping and that when the house was built it was laid OVER the footer of the house and out to the takeout. This was a major problem as when they considered going under the footer the pipe did not meet the line out to the city connection. At, that point they had to reassess, call in the city to see where their pipe was underground, call the proper people to mark all the lines, as the power, cable, phone and sprinkler lines were all in the same place.
They had started the process of digging, by shovelful, no mechanics, and had to continue that process. To make things more complicated, they had to go under my french drain. Dave and Jack were wonderful. In spite of all of the complications and the heat, they were cheerful and detailed. On day three, I believe, it was it passed inspection by the city and they finished the work of closing it in on day four.

I am very pleased to have the problem corrected and to know that that issue will never arise again.Thank you Garrett Plumbing!"

"Cass plumbing has replaced my garbage disposal as well as my water heater. I hired them to install a new burst washing machine hose as well as put on new water heater valves. And I just hired them to replace the bathroom tub faucet. Specifically I hire Richard with Cass plumbing and he enters my place without me their bills me fairly. I will use absolutely no other plumber or plumbing company to enter my residence without me present. And if they are a little bit more expensive itâ s totally worth the peace of mind in the quality of their work and knowing that my place will be safe even though Iâ m not there. And their work is guaranteed.. I would absolutely hire them if I were you without reservation."

"Apex Plumbing employees, James and Zach, came to my house to repair a water leak that stopped all water service to my house. James came and cleared the lawn covering my pipes. Then Zach came, located the leak and replaced the water pipe serving my house. Unfortnately, The meter showed a continuing leak. James crawled under my house and found an unknown second leak. They eliminated that pipe leak under my house. I now have full water service to my house with no more leaks. Thank you Zach and James for a complete repair of known and unknown leaks. Good job!"

"He provided great service during my project to replace all 3 toilets in my house. My toilets were awful when I moved in even flooding my house which was an extra project itself but with Fermins help from costa plumbing I didn’t have any plumbing issues with my toilets any more. "

"I hired Abe Lincoln Plumbing to replace about 60 ft of sewer pipe. Paul, the owner of Abe Lincoln promptly contacted me from my Home Advisor request (I received calls from 3 different companies). Paul came out to my home and cleared my sewer pipes of root intrusions and found problems with the pipes after scoping the line. Paul's conclusion that the pipe needed to be replaced was confirmed by the other companies that also came out to provide their diagnosis and work estimates. I chose Paul over the other companies because he was very forthright on the repairs and his estimates were competitive. With the exception of the delay getting the repair inspected, all the work was performed as planned. Paul was very pleasant to work with and he took the time to explain the work to be performed. I would definitely hire him again on future plumbing needs."

FAQs for sewer main install, replace or repair projects in Clearwater, FL

When installing a sewer line, you should consider extra costs like tree removal, driveway repairs, or patio resurfacing. Hiring a professional plumber is essential, and you may need additional specialists if landscaping or heavy excavation is involved. Addressing these potential extras up front helps ensure accurate budgeting and prevents sudden cost overruns.

To calculate the length of sewer piping you need, measure the distance from your house to the main sewer line, adding the depth of the city main to this distance. Be sure to account for any obstacles like tree roots or utility lines that may require additional piping.

City sewer lines are installed at a lower elevation to prevent unwanted backflow and water damage. This lower positioning ensures enhanced performance and long-term safety, meeting all technical and safety standards.

With trenchless methods, a plumber inserts a smaller pipe within the existing plumbing, avoiding full excavation. It can be more cost-effective and less disruptive than traditional methods, but it's not suitable for all homes.

Yes, you must secure permission from your local water authority before connecting to a public sewer line. This approval ensures your connection meets all regulatory requirements.

Sewer lines are buried between 18 inches and 8 feet deep, with most systems placed between 18 and 30 inches. In colder regions, pipes are set deeper to remain below the frost line.
