"I used A-Quick Repair to resurface my bathtub, and re-tile my shower wall. Jeronimo is a great contractor with great prices. I highly recommend their services, and I will be using them again in the near future!"

"Larry did a great job at an exceptionally good price. I needed my vinyl repaired on my chimney due to storm damage and he was able to hunt down matching siding (20+ years old) and did an exceptional job in a short time. Yes, I would definitely hire him for repairs around the house as well as the siding."

"We wanted simple-to-use, locking hurricane protection for safety if we stay during a hurricane and for security if we evacuate. The sales agent provided information on several options, recommending the one we ultimately purchased as the best to meet our needs. Regular homeowners' insurance no longer covers wind damage on the Gulf Coast, so we wanted to provide proof of our efforts to secure our home as well as possible to the Alabama pool of insurers who provide wind insurance. Installation was estimated to take 2 days, and took only about 6 hours. The installer made sure we understood how to work the shutters (which slide out from each side to close over the windows), and how best to maintain them. They were delayed in their arrival by a company meeting, so they didn't start at the time projected, but they made up for it in quick installation, including testing each window's shutters to make sure they worked. We feel well protected by these shutters. <br />"

"Mr. Butler was prompt and professional from the very first phone call. I do not live in Mississippi and he worked with me to look at the property and determine what repairs were needed while I was not there. He worked with my schedule and was available to do the work when I was in town for a few days. <br /> After a few hours of demolition he provided me with a list of needed materials. I purchased them at Lowe's where he met me and hauled everything to the house with his truck and trailer. From there he setup his work area with a trailer full of tools and only needed access to an electrical outlet. He worked two 12 hour days, one 6 hour day and finished up the work in a few hours on a fourth day. All work was completed in a very timely manner and the quality of the construction and repair is very good. <br /> I felt very comfortable with Mr. Butler being around my elderly mother and her home. I will not hesitate to call him for future repairs even when I cannot be present to supervise. I'm sure he will do a good job at a reasonable rate."

"Tramco did a very professional job on my home. At my request, Tramco used Sherwin Williams Duration paint. The job was in some respects difficult given configuration of home but they rented a 45 foot lift to stay off metal roof and paint upper gables. Any concerns immediately taken care of, and the owner Terry Tramel has very high standards and personally inspected the work twice daily and at the end of the job. Without my request, additional areas were repainted as directed by Terry to ensure a top quality job. I contacted other local contractors and they didn't want to fool with lift and rather wanted to put ladders on my metal roof, but Tramco agreed best to use lift. I have high standards, and this is the firm I will use in the future. <br />"

"Scott was so nice and attentive. He was accommodating and willing to do whatever we needed. He does excellent work at a fair price. We have officially found our handyman and will recommend him to anyone who needs work done."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Columbia, MS

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
