"The company sent a very professional manager to supervise the work. It took almost two days of horizontal boring in our yard and under our homes slab foundation. The horizontal boring equipment and crew added a large expense to the total bill but was the only to get under the slab to the correct spot. The crew installed heavy duty PVC pipe with a liner containing heavy duty commercial grade hose. If anything leaks in the future, a new hose can be slipped in to replace the bad one at a minimal cost. After the repair work was completed, the landscaping was restored to new. Overall a very professional repair job, well worth the extra cost."

"Thomas arrived on time and worked efficiently. He was very nice and polite. He installed the new water heater and noticed something seemed wrong once the pilot light was not working correctly. He called the company and discovered that it had a defective part. Thomas removed it, returned it, and came right back with a new water heater which worked well. It must have been frustrating for him, although he was very professional. I can’t express strongly enough that I would definitely have him do future repairs if needed!! "

"One day our water (which was previously pristine) began to run cloudy. At the same time our water pressure became almost non-existent. A-1 (Travis Franklin) came out the same day I called. Once he looked at the white sandy sediment coming out of the taps, he suspected a cracked well casing and damage therefrom. After running a camera down the well, I could see it was obviously leaking from a large crack....which he set about repairing with specialized cement. We kicked around several options, but my attitude is get the work done one time, the right way. At 550 feet down, this was not childs play. Upon pulling up the piping and pump, said pump was completely clogged with this white muck (no wonder we had no water). Since it was already nearly 20 years old, we opted to replace it. We also had the wiring (550 ft) replaced because it had become frayed over the years and while we could have patched it....we felt it was worth the considerable expense to replace it. That done, we looked at the two water pressure tanks, both of which turned out to be completely saturated with that white sand and literally unusable (once the pressure bladder is gone, they're worthless). Next was flushing out my five bathroom houses water system (including the water heater). That white composite was in everything....what a mess. Travis replaced the tanks with slightly larger tanks and had to re-plumb a bit of the distribution system. He then flushed out all water to get the last of the sediment until our piping ran clear....refilled the house......and done. He and his helper did an outstanding job and I wholeheartedly recommend his service."

" Mr. Burks was referred to me by a friend, He was on time, very knowledgable, and pleasant to talk with. He and his wife pulled out pump, replaced pump and motor, along with a pressure switch. He gave me a discount for being a senior citizen. Did not charge extra for Sunday call.  I would highly recommend H2O Well Service to everyone in Tennessee. Hal Travis"

"Over the course of the summer, the water pressure had been getting worse and worse. The first plumber we had out to look at it thought it might be that we had a very dry summer. But, he also thought it might be the pump, and gave us an informal quote of $4500 to replace the pump. <br /> When Glen came out, he did everything he could to try other solutions to the issue, prior to deciding the well pump needed to be replaced. He constantly tried to do what he could to save us money. <br /> Once he decided the pump needed replaced, he talked through several possible options regarding pump size, whether or not to replace the pipe, what kind of pipe to use. Ultimately, we went with new PVC pipe and a 1 and 1/2 hp. pump. We didn't want to have to pull the pump again in the future. <br /> Glen gave a quote, and even though the job took longer than he expected (due to having to pull up 600 feet of galvanized pipe), he stood by his original quote and didn't charge us more. All of this work was done late on a Friday afternoon, finishing up about 6:30 on Friday. <br /> <br />"

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Dandridge, TN

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
