"Garett and Lane did an amazing job fixing our sprinkler problems and there were quite a few with our old system. They were prompt and very efficient and knowledgeable. Have used B&C for years and will continue to do so."

Customers say: Quick response

"Landscaping Guys did a great job re-sodding my lawn! They helped prepare the dirt (removed old grass/weeds), ordered and had delivered the new sod, and then installed the sod. They reset all the irrigation heads and replaced any that malfunctioned. They also installed a couple of drainage areas to remove standing water. They did a great job, were on time, and the results are fantastic. Throughout it all, Jesus kept me informed of the plan and walked me through the process for each step. The price was fair and they completed the job ahead of schedule. It was always a great, hard working crew on site."

"They came in the middle of a heat wave and did great work. They cleaned up after and I was very pleased with their work. Only took two hours to remove a giant dead tree from my back yard."

"Their workers were all undocumented and they were forced to fire them. The owner thought he and his son could manage the work themselves, which they couldn't. Without telling us they just stopped coming and doing the work while we were out of town.  They did not call, email, or stop by - just didn't show up and do the work.  I would not recommend Live Oak to anyone."

"They came highly recommended. I wasn't thoroughly satisfied. I need them to adjust the system because the water isn't going where it's supposed to. I don't really want to keep calling them, it's embarrassing. Some sprinklers go far. The ones that I need to go far, don't reach. It was expensive. I thought that on the lawn, they would replant the grass. They didn't. They wanted a $1000 to do it. I went to someone else to have it done. I watched them every step of the way, and I just wasn't satisfied. They are very busy. They dug up our plants. They just stuck them back in the hole and didn't put any dirt around them. They didn't replace things the same way they were when they took them out."

"Overall we were very impressed with AL Lawn Masters and their team that handled our problem. They were up-front with very reasonable pricing. Many of the people we called wanted to charge us a service fee just to show up and then charge high amounts per hour to do the same work. AL Lawn Masters had a reasonable flat per hour fee and only added on the charges for parts used during their visit. We had the technicians (who remembered our names between days when they worked - this impressed us) look at all the current sprinkler heads and flag the ones that needed to be changed. They then proceeded to explain the situation with the sprinkler valves and why they needed to be changed. After that they did their work very quickly and with good explanation. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone and can attest that we are very happy that we choose to go with them for these services. More companies should be prompt, have fair pricing and send nice and knowledgeable people to a job like AL Lawn Masters did with our situation. <br />"

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Decatur, AL

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
