"
Eddie Cook built my garage. Cost about 30% of any market price. The specs. were right on, foundation & building, no complaints.

I forgot to get the addition to the door; the overhang shelter for the entrance.

The next step; front splash plates on the bottom of the garage doors; (to keep the water and rot from destroying the doors).

His work is great, the cost factor: no one can beat this Preachers price and attitude.

"

"They did the job. Two people came, Left a year's warranty on their work. The other worker repaired a wall coat hanger at no extra charge. That took less than 10 min. I did not ask for their charge upfront. My mistake. I assumed that it would be reasonable based on Angie's other reviews. I was charged $125 for their driving time from Henderson, about 50 miles and $125 for installation. They were late because they went to the other side of Lake Gaston. Many people get lost but that usually happens once they get inside our subdivision. Don't use this service if it involves travel.
"

". I had some wood left over from when he laid the flooring in 2012. He came out about a week ago and we pulled it out of the attic and put it into the bedrooms. Today he and his son Rob, came out at 8:30 and set up the saws outside. They went into the bedroom that was the worst and ripped out the problem area and refitted wood into it. They clean up the dust and wood chips after they were finished. He fixed both problems in each of the bedrooms. Now the floors look so much better. The wood came from Lumber Liquidators. They sold me Hickory, but it never came in. Then they offered me this Red Oak at a better price because the Hickory had not come in. I reluctantly took the offer. I wanted the Hickory. Anyway, Ron needed to get the floors laid because he had a job to go to in Kentucky. I don't believe the wood had enough time to acclimate to the house and it buckled in those places. The other rooms were fine; just those two rooms were effected.
Anyway, he took care of it at no charge to me.
"

"Our hot water heater (20+ yrs) developed a leak. I only found out about the leak a few hours before I had planned to leave the cottage for several weeks. I noticed that Lowes' web site showed several 50 gal heaters that would be a good replacement for my older heater. They also advertised that they would arrange 1 day installation. I bought the heater over the phone and Lowes contacted Michael Askew Plumbing to make the installation. He arrived in approx. 3 hrs with the heater and accessories needed to perform the installation (drain pan, expansion tank). They (Michael had a young helper) drained the old tank, removed it, and installed the new heater in a little over hour. All the work was very neat; area was left clean, and they hauled off the old heater. Michael was cleanly dressed and extremely polite. I would use and recommend Michael Askew Plumbing for any future plumbing repairs
"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Edenton, NC

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
