"The salesman should have told me the tearout of the old shower and the installation of the new shower would cause a white dust over everything in every room. I have a lot of cleanup to do. I am not happy with the caulking around the base of the shower. It looks a little messy. The installer said it was because the gap between the flooring and the new shower base was wider than usual. I think a better job should have been done. Overall the new showers look beautiful and are working fine."

"When we hired Bathworks to remove the existing shower and install a new shower that had a floor pan that was lower to the ground and a shower that was alot bigger, we knew that we were hiring the best professionals we could find. The new walls for the shower extend up over 6 feet. They also installed a safety handrail that is a holder for all types of containers for shampoos, conditioners and bath soaps. They were finished in seven hours. The glass doors are fabulous! The commercial shower faucets are very nice. They had even checked the length of time it took to fill a container from our old shower and compared with the new shower where we now have more water pressure. They installed two handrails in the shower, so we?ll never be worried about falling in the shower.? I want to thank Keegan and Caleb for a wonderful job. Thank you, Bathworks for all you did for us!"

"We did a bathroom remodel with Brawny Builders. It went great. Bronson and his hard working crew arrived promptly each day and did all the work as promised and always cleaned up their mess. They tore out our old shower and closet and replaced it with a large ceramic shower and a new floor. The bathroom is beautiful and we love it. We would not hesitate to hire them again and would very much recommend them."

FAQs for shower installation and replacement projects in Edwardsburg, MI

You should regrout tile every 10 to 15 years, provided it is well-maintained with regular cleaning and sealing. Over time, grout can deteriorate due to exposure to moisture, foot traffic, and the use of cleaning agents. If you start to see cracks, discoloration, crumbling grout, or loose tiles, it’s a sign that regrouting is needed sooner.

The most effective way to clean grout involves a combination of powerful cleaning agents and the right tools. Using a dedicated grout brush intensifies the cleaning process, ensuring a deep clean. Create a powerful homemade solution by mixing baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and dish soap to break down deeply embedded dirt. After cleaning, reseal the grout to lock in protection and maintain its appearance.

You can't regrout tile without removing the existing grout and expect good, long-lasting results. You must replace the old grout when it begins to crumble and fail. New grout cannot properly adhere to existing grout, meaning moisture will still reach the damaged layer and cause additional water damage, which will be more costly to deal with in the long run.

Visible indicators, such as cracks, stains, chipping, and mold growth, signal that your grout is compromised and no longer maintains its bonding strength. If you notice these issues, cleaning alone won't restore the grout's integrity. In such cases, consider complete or partial regrouting to preserve your surfaces and prevent further damage.
