"Our historic home had 2 fireplaces that were no longer safe for burning wood so we visited Tarheel Fireplace to learn what our options were in gas inserts.  Roy took the time to explain all our options and patiently answered my questions.  He sent us home with brochures from multiple vendors to think about which style we preferred most.  We choose one that looked like a wood burning fireplace and s second that looked like a coal bucket.  Roy came to the house to take measurements and assess how much customizing each fireplace would take to install in the available space.  We arranged for an install date and Roy and his assistant arrived on time and got to work.  They returned a week later after our electrician came to install the needed electric outlets.  A third installation trip to finalize the custom work (one insert had to line up with a wood mantle and the other with slate) and we were done.  Along the way, Roy realized the gas line from the street to our house (installed by another vendor a year earlier) had a slight leak and he made a temporary repair until he could return to and fix it properly.  He didn't have to be checking that part of the line, but he is through like that and we appreciated it.  We love our new fireplaces and can't wait for the weather to turn cold so we can enjoy them.' <br />"

"The first unit was delivered in a timely manner. However, the carrier did not adhere to the shippers warnings about product fragility and the unit was received in a damaged state. The unit was sent back to Classic Copperworks for repair.  The repair was treated as a priority by Mr. Threadgill, who had the unit shipped back to me in three weeks. It arrived in good condition that time. <br /> Mr Threadgill was very helpful in providing support in order to finish our project. He even had a caulking product sent to us in order to help with flashing the unit. That meant alot. <br /> I am not a professional contractor, but was able to install the unit myself with his support. However, my profession does provide me the opportunity to serve the public and as such, I feel that I am more than qualified in commenting on good service. While Classic Copperworks may not be the cheapest provider of goods and services, they stand behind their product and provide great support. "Mr. Knapp was professional and pleasant to work with.  He wasn't able to cut the hole the height I wanted due to the layout of the brick, but it was only off by 2" anyway and the same height of my existing crawlspace door anyway.  I can work with it!  After he completed the work, we sat down for a long time to discuss a future project (front porch), so I could get a good idea of what I would need for a budget to install the foundation of the porch.  We also talked about different options for porch flooring, and stairs.  Mr. Knapp was very friendly and fully prepared for the task at hand.  I will be using him in the future for other projects over the next several years.  Very happy that I found him on Angie's List, because it was impossible to find a Mason in this region...  I asked around, and even asked people in the building inspection office and other departments at the town hall to find someone, with no luck what so ever!  Angies List was detrimental in my being able to find a person for this trade.  Thanks to Angie's List and Thanks to Mr. Knapp! <br />"

"They did the job. Two people came, Left a year's warranty on their work. The other worker repaired a wall coat hanger at no extra charge. That took less than 10 min. I did not ask for their charge upfront. My mistake. I assumed that it would be reasonable based on Angie's other reviews. I was charged $125 for their driving time from Henderson, about 50 miles and $125 for installation. They were late because they went to the other side of Lake Gaston. Many people get lost but that usually happens once they get inside our subdivision. Don't use this service if it involves travel. <br />"

They may not even finish it with a little money still owed. Lots of excuses why they can't work. But again, they do a great job when, and if, they show up! <br /> <br />"
