"Bought a home that needed top to bottom renovations, including almost 2000 sq ft of new hardwood, another 2000 of old hardwood floors/steps/banisters refinished, another 2000 of luxury vinyl installed, and carpet steps ripped out and replaced with hardwood. Of ALL our MANY contractors (tile, electric, painting, handymen, etc), Masood was the one person who's team showed when he said he would 100% of the time, did a great job the FIRST time (one crew ripped up old carpet and installed all the hardwood in ONE day, and another crew installed the vinyl in ONE day as well - honestly, I didn't think that much could be done in so short a time). He provided great pricing and wonderful service, advising me which flooring would be more durable and ordering in a flooring I liked best rather than pushing me into something easier to get. Masood is very easy to work with and made sure everything was done well. We had used him at a previous house and been happy there as well, but the new flooring in this house made a huge difference. "I recently had luxury vinyl planks installed in my galley kitchen, washroom/laundry room, and bathroom. All three of these spaces are tight quarters. However, the crew from District Floor Depot (DFD) did a fantastic job despite the limited space! (The required moving the refrigerator, stacked washer/dryer, stove, and 2 toilets.) The crew made it look like it was a piece of cake to do though I do know there were definitely challenges along the way. It took the crew about a day and half to complete. Each time there was an obstacle, the folks at DFD were quick to resolve, for example, they were a few planks short to complete the job. Rather than taking short cuts, they crew had the additional planks brought over and the job was completed to my satisfaction. All minor concerns that I had had were quickly resolved. I was particularly impressed with the post-installation service provided. I had a question about a “soft spot’ on the floor (the installation was “floated” atop of the existing underlayment) that I felt might cause premature wear. My concerns were quickly addressed (it turned out with “floating” floors having a ‘soft spot’ near a transition sight was normal and that no premature wear would occur.) I would definitely recommend District Floor Depot and would use them again!"

"Brian from Torres flooring reached out to me immediately after I submitted my request, and quickly gave me a quote and did the repair that day! We had a small section of our vinyl floor cut out by our previous owners to install a wooden railing. We removed the railing and needed the flooring patched with some of the flooring we had stored away. I contacted so many floor companies who said the job was 'too risky' and declined the job, or told us we needed to replace the entire floor (for like $5k). Brian was super friendly and said he could do the job no problem, understood what we needed done, and did a great job! We were seriously getting desperate and didn't know if we were ever going to get our floor fixed. HUGE thank you to Brian for the expertly rescuing our floor!"

"I was disappointed with the communication below and the fact that they took payment for job completion prior to me seeing the job. My request: Hi Jodi, Sorry for the delayed response as we have not moved all of the furniture and fixtures back to their original place. The guys did an exceptional job matching the colors and refinishing the floors. There was some dust and debris left behind in the house and driveway also some stain on the molding (I will do touch up paint). My biggest concern is the garage that had my table full of fixtures was left with saw dust and debris from cutting the molding and maybe cleaning the machines. I do not want the guys back in my house from previous experience with contractors they see to have an attitude with returning. However, I would request $100.00 credit for consideration and a small amount of the stain mixture for scratches. I would propose that your company have the guys take exit pictures. I will be willing to provide a positive review regarding the actual work performed. Reply: It is nice to hear you are happy with the project. Unfortunately, the issue of stain on the molding and dust is a common when refinishing floors, even in the garage. This is why we prepare our Customers in the contract, to cover all belongings and be prepared for paint touch-up. Final comment: Jodi, thanks for your response. That is an unreasonable, irresponsible position and relieve your crew of any responsibility and respect for the customers property. I am disappointed and regret that I trusted your company to provide a professional service."

"The best contractor we have had in 15 years of living here! Our 53yr old house is in the Fort Hunt / Waynewood area and we have had a lot of renovations done. Sam took care to ensure this project was done right. We had the main bathroom tub replaced, walls retiled and faucets installed. This was a 2nd update to our bathroom and we wanted to keep the tile floor and sink. Sam was able to install the new tub while protecting the floor tile not being replaced. All the work was done within the time & price promised and it looks great! We have/will recommend him to anyone needing quality home repairs done - at a very fair price. We wish we had found him for earlier projects and will absolutely hire him again!!"

"This company offered the lowest priced bid for my project, which included refinishing existing wood floors and installing new wood flooring. They were always punctual and flexible with scheduling. They clearly take pride in their work and delivered an impressive result. They also quickly addressed the few minor concerns I had after the install. My only critique is that they installed the wrong trim initially and had to redo some of their work. Overall, the project was a success, and I would recommend them to others for similar projects."
