"A couple of months ago, my 20 year old Kohler Rialto one-piece toilet was running water to fill the tank every 15 seconds. We tried everything to try and repair it ourselves without any luck. I found Clearwater Plumbing on Angie's List, gave them a call and left a message. Larry called me back within an hour and set a time to be at the house the next day. He arrived at the house, diagnosed the problem, but did not have the parts on hand to make the repairs that day. He advised he would call me when he found the parts. He called the next day and made a second appointment to come to the house on the next day (a Saturday) to complete the repairs. He arrived as scheduled and completed the work. No more frequent tank fills! I called Clearwater Plumbing again and left a message on Tuesday, June 14, 2015 as there was a water leak coming from the front base of this same toilet whenever it was flushed. Larry once returned my call within an hour and set up an appointment for Thursday between 9 and 10. Tyler called me at 9:45 to advise me he would be at my house in 15 minutes. He arrived before 10 am, got to work, removed the toilet, replaced the defective wax seal between the toilet and floor, set the toilet, and applied caulking around the base of the toilet. The work was completed within 45 minutes. Every experience I have had with Clearwater Plumbing has been superior. They are timely, professional, courteous, and their prices are very reasonable.  $159.90 per hour labor charge seems over the top,  especially when one is expected to pay that charge while the provider has to go shopping for the appropriate pipe size and valve.  After complaining to the company that I had told them the size of the pipe needed when I scheduled the repair, they did refund me for the shopping time.

"It ended up all that had to be done was plug in the existing sump pump in the new house we bought, but the service person was very nice and professional, and we weren't charge for the visit. They could have told us it wasn't working and we needed a whole new system, if they were dishonest. "AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"The company called us the day after the earthquake, offering to come and do a free check in the crawlspace to be sure there is no damage or places needing repair in the liner after the quake. I phoned them yesterday to make the appointment and they came out today. And there is no damage or repairs needed, and the liner held up, still attached to the foundation cement stones and pillars. I felt this was very thoughtful of them to remember us. Since we installed the product a year ago, they have helped us feel comfortable that the product is doing what it is supposed to do. They also came out during the rains (however brief) in late February and checked that everything was still dry (not that we had flooding or ground water tables rise, but we were concerned that rain might have been coming in from the side vents in the house siding to the crawlspace). It was dry and everything looked good, so we determined that no more work was necessary to close up the house's side vents. That was money and time saved. ...Professional company and good people.
