"Domian responded when three other concrete contractors wouldn't even answer the phone to give us a bid. They said that they usually work on larger jobs than ours but they would give us a price if we would agree to be flexible on the work date.  Since our job was a smaller one, their plan was to complete the work when they could couple it with another job nearby.  We agreed.

It took a few weeks to get scheduled but they came and did nice work over 2 days and were very courteous to my wife who was home during part of their work. It started to rain after the concrete was poured and one of the workers said he lived nearby and if weather posed a threat he would return to cover their work. The rain was light, no cover was needed and the sidewalk looks good. The buried downspout now empties rainwater harmlessly to another part of our yard instead of the walk up to our front door which will be a major improvement when winter comes.

I should also add that our sidewalk was not a routine install. It was located over a section of side yard that had a layer of solid rock that prevented the usual dirt removal and form set. The brought a bobcat to clear the path so that the sidewalk would follow a smooth, level path parallel to the street.

There were no surprises. They did what they promised and their workmanship was excellent."

The few issues with minor aesthetics were discussed with the crew and solutions they suggested worked out well and look good. Dennis was very knowledgeable and approachable. "He came to my house, but never actually delivered the design. He asked for 2-3 wks. I gave him about 4 wks. I tried to contact him to follow up, but I did not hear from him. I have received a refund from Angie's List. He told me they were doing (maybe paving?) when we first met, and he's trying to do landscape design? It was only $39. When I first contacted the rating was A, and it was B when I last looked. Maybe it's a case of trying to do too much, or needing to narrow the scope of work. You can know/do a little about everything, or something about a little....not both."
