"Anyone who needs a fireplace installed or any work done in the chimney should call Jim Pritchett at Certified Sweeps Chimney Professionals. Jim is very thoughtful, considerate of your budget, and creative when designing your fireplace. My wife is SO happy with Jim's work that we are planning on calling him to install another as part of a remodel."

"So impressed with this company. They quoted a price to replace my cap. When they got up there they found the old cap had just blown off so they reinstalled it and charged me less. Good, honest business"

"The owner, Robert Helm came out and talked with me about what he was going to do. About meshing (blending) in the addition to the original house and taking down the chimney and closing the hole that it would leave and about the leak we had where the garage and the original house come together (that was supposed to be fixed when we had the roof re-done in Dec. 2003). Then Mr. Helm and his crew came out and did all the work on June 9, 2016. Mr. Helm helped take down the old chimney and nothing came crashing down on the new addition or on the ground. The crew worked all day. Mr. Helm left to get rid of the old chimney parts and shingles from the the area of the original house that were removed to mesh the new addition into. Mr. Helm came back when the job was finished and climbed up the roof and checked all the work. He told me about the California valleys that were done on the addition to the original house and he told me about the repair to the roof area where the chimney was and he also checked over the repair to the roof where the leak had been . He told me that his worker said that there were several items missing that they would have put on that area of the roof that leaked after the re-roofing in Dec. 2003. Mr. Helm said to let him know if the roof leaks or the repair leaks anytime. We just had a big rainstorm (today is June 14, 2016) and my rain gauge shows over an inch of rain and at times it was coming down very hard AND I have NO LEAKS , not in the addition, not where the chimney was AND NOT WHERE THE LEAK HAS BEEN. Added note: The company that did our roof in Dec. 2003 had come out at least 2 times to fix the leak where the garage and the house meet AFTER they re-roofed the entire house with no success. It would take many calls before we could get a call back. We honestly got tired of contacting them and gave up . That part is our fault. I want to thank Robert Helm and his crew from R&R Roofing!!! We will sing their praises to all who ask about a roofer!!! Mr Helm and his entire crew were very polite, careful of our property and hard workers!"

"<p>The removal wasn't too bad.  Had some misc. items I had to pick up around the house, but wasn't a big issue.  </p> <p>There was an issue at two locations where the gutters from the high roof spilled to the lower roof.  The installer changed from the original design which I thought would be an issue down the road.  The company came back and returned it to the original design.</p> <p>I visited a local spring vendor show and ran into the salesman who sold the job.  He asked if everything was OK with the gutter system and I went on to explain a few issues I was having with some leaks.  He said they would send someone out to look at it, and they did.  I went through the items with the individual (Matt?) and he found another item he wasn't satisfied with while he was there.  The individual indicated he would get someone back out (that was about 3 months ago) but no one every showed or reached back out to me.</p> <p><strong>9/1/15 - Finally on 8/17, John E. called me to follow up, I'm assuming after Bone Dry got wind of my review.  He indicated Matt just totally forgot (people do forget) and he, John was going to take care of this.  John indicated he would get right on it (now 2-weeks has past) and I called and left a message today, and still waiting a return call to see when the issues will be resolved and we can move on.</strong></p> <p><strong>9/3/15 - So, John finally calls me back yesterday and indicates there must have been a misunderstanding and he was waiting for me to call him to schedule the rework.  Anyway, John apologized for the misunderstanding and indicated he was heading to Indy to do a job and would stop by when he got back to Lafayette yesterday evening and fix the issues.  Well for some reason, John did not stop by and did not call.</strong></p> <p><strong>I went out last night to get some pictures for the record of the areas of concern, and it appears we now have some additional issues with wood damage to the eave from the leaking gutter.  I guess when you "have one of the rainiest summers" and repairs get put off, then you can only expect more issues.</strong></p> <p><strong>Well it appears I have no alternative but to hire another contractor to fix this mess.  Hopefully it will be done right this time.</strong></p> <p><strong>9/8/15 - This is my final attempt through this site to get Bone Dry Roofing, Inc. to stand behind their work and correct the mistakes in their work and make it right.  There are two areas of concern and it shouldn't take long to fix the issues they just have to show up and get it down.  If they haven't showed by the end of day Friday, then I know for sure they have no intentions to satisfy these issues.</strong></p> <p><strong>Bone Dry Subcontractor came to the house a couple weeks ago and made the repairs.  Haven't had any rain to speak of to really test the fix, but we'll see soon as we get into another rainy part of the year.  They were really apologetic about the response time and we parted on good terms.</strong></p>"

"we had asked that work not be done the week before our daughter's college graduation.  They called the weekend before and said a rooking crew was available and could do the work on Monday if we wanted to go ahead.  we said OK.  then it rained and they worked on Tuesday and then into Wednesday to finish.  the roofing crews did not always dump debris onto tarps, did not properly address an issue at the chimney leaving a gap above the facia (even though I had pointed out this condition during a walk thru for the bid), and, in my opinion, bent the gutters in two places.  When they fixed the roof at the chimney, they said they must have had some bad caulking because the first hot day after it ran down the side of the chimney in a black gooey mess.  They then had to come back again and clean the chimney and re-fix the problem. <br /> The guy installing the bathroom vent duct  through the attic installed the wye backwards. <br /> The siding crew replaced the moldy HardiPlank and trim.  They pointed out several other bad soffit locations that were not in the original scope and those were fixed by change order.  I had to have them come back and fix several sloppy joint locations, caulk places that had missed and fix other locations where the HardiPlank was installed against roofing but had not yet begun to deteriorate.  During the work on first return they tore a hole in the bedroom screen and we had to have them come back and take the screen off and have it replaced.  In general, their attention to detail and level of craftsmanship was not nearly as good as the work they had done in 2004.  They did eventually fix everything we asked for.  Next time I will look for someone better. <br />"

"My husband and I were doing an interior remodel of a wood stove surround and found an active leak behind our tear down that was leaking in under the insulation. Our first and only thought was that we had a roof leak on a 3 year old roof (we have only owned the house 11 months). Then we noticed water damage in a closet as well.. We called Loy-Quinn and Mr. Quinn came out to take a look & give us a FREE estimate. He came out and told us there is NOTHING wrong with our roof. Our chimney needs tuck pointed and that is where the water is coming from. He said we could, for added security around our chimney after we have it repaired, install a chimney cricket and that they would replace the flashing around the chimney at the same time and it would help ward off possible future problems but we didn't HAVE to do it. We could have been thousands deep into this if this company were not honest. We will be having Loy-Quinn install the cricket after we fix our chimney issue. We couldn't have asked for a better experience"

"Varment Guard has been more expensive but in my experiences with them - they always get their target varment. I have used them for yellow jackets, mice, spiders, and now mole and chipmunks. With other companies I used in the past, the pests seemed to be eradicated at first but the pests returned. With Varment Guard, they are gone. I highly recommend them."
