"Steve came out to describe his process from design to installation of railings.  Came up with various designs -- all good it was difficult to select.  He then met us at the Franklin Glass to select the glass to be integrated into the wrought iron.  Railings installed and one of the glass inserts did not seem quite right.  He personally came out to inspect the concern and took care of the issue immediately.  We really love the originality of his design and enjoyed working with Steve! <br />"

"The whole process was simply. Skip and his crew were experts. Professional, honest, and responsive during the entire process. The fence is beautiful and quality, and at a very reasonable price. I'll only call Elite Fence for any fencing needs in the future."

"I previously met with John Pickens last year for a quote on a different style and height of fence. John was very informative and helpful if helping me decide on the type of fencing. At the time we were getting quotes from several different fencing companies and Pickens really stood out above the others. Called them back this year for another quote with type and height changes - per john's previous suggestions - and signed a contract to start project approx July week 1. Will update once work is complete. <br /> <br />*****10/25/14 UPDATE******* <br />Started calling a few weeks before work was scheduled to begin in July week 1. Left several messages but never received call backs. Finally tracked down another contact number - John's cell phone - and got ahold of john. He told me they were running behind and pushed the start date back another two weeks. Work finally started 7/22/14 & was completed 7/25/14. Initially I was happy with the quality and can understand the delays but I'm less than satisfied with the quality of the wood used. Within a week several boards and posts split, further inspection showed many imperfections and less than quality pieces of wood were used. One gate also started sagging with two weeks. Fence has a one year warranty and plan to have them make good on that warranty. Will update again when that time comes. <br /> <br />*****8/20/15 UPDATE******* <br />Warranty work was completed to our satisfaction, but this was not without additional messages left with no call backs and an overall lack of communication. We are pleased with the overall results and outcome but it was somewhat of a process to get to that point. With that said, they do not use subcontractors and the owners son, Ryan, takes pride in his work and was always more than accommodating."

"Moyer & Sons was just excellent. They're a family operation and they are just wonderful. It's a father and son and it's very thorough work. They are very conscientious, clean, and punctual. They are hard workers. I was going to use them for some other project but I ran out of time and money. It was a beautiful job. Mr. Moyer has been doing this for over 30 years and he's just something at what he does."

"Brad was fantastic! I had previously had another contractor come in and estimate about 1000 in repairs. Brad indicated this was definitely not the case. He provided an estimate and then beat it by $100. He was knowledgeable, on time and friendly. Estimate was provided and he came back and finished everything in less than 3 hours. Great guy! Great service! And I will be using him again. <br />"

"I worked with Randy on a job in Columbus where there were metal panels to install. This job required some equipment to be fabricated up in certain areas to be able to install the panels. Randy was tasked with fabricating the equipment and did so in a very timely manner. The equipment was well constructed and performed above our expectations! Very good craftsmanship!"

FAQs for wrought iron fence repair or weld projects in Lancaster, OH

Wrought iron fence installation costs $1,200 to $4,200 on average. Your final cost depends on several factors, including the length and height of the fence, the intracity of the ornamental design, and the quality of the materials used. Iron fences cost $7,000 or more to install on the high end. Wrought iron fences are more expensive than fences made using other materials.

Wrought iron railings cost an average of $2,600, including labor and materials. Hiring a professional to install iron railings is crucial to ensure accuracy and safety. The price depends on the type of metal used, installation location, aesthetic elements, and whether you’re installing it indoors or outdoors. Materials include plain black iron, galvanized iron, and ornamental iron.

You should never paint over rusted wrought iron fencing. All this does is mask the underlying issue, as rust can slowly deteriorate the integrity of your iron fence, diminishing its durability and stability. Painting over a rusted fence also causes poor paint adhesion, which can lead to flaking. Be sure to remove rust and smooth the surface before painting.
