"Awesome. I had two really tough spots to work on - my dog found someone's deep fryer full of oil outside, drank a ton of pure oil, and then rejected it immediately on the carpet. Pure oil! I cleaned when it happened, but over time, the spots became dirt magnets. All Seasons knew exactly what to do to remedy this and took the time to make sure it was done right. Three months later and it looks as good as they day they left - no more dirt magnet. I have hired a lot of carpet cleaners over the years and I have to say this was the BEST experience I have ever had. I highly recommend them for any job - large or small, routine or ugly like mine."

"Really well. First, the salesman showed me several choices. Although they were limited, they fit exactly with what I needed. The price was very reasonable! The carpet and pad are very good quality. The carpet layer was skilled, merging the new carpet with an existing carpet. Everyone was polite and got right to work. I will definitely use this business again."

"Excellent on everything they did for me. Great selection of carpet and vinyl which I bought both. Very pleased with the carpet installed in living room and stairs. Vinyl installed nicely in a bathroom and laundry room. My house was built in 2005 so all hardwood needed refinished. They stepped me through the whole process. Beautiful hardwood now. I have referred friends and neighbors and will continue. Any further flooring I might need in the future will be from Capell."

"The installer was nice, quiet and went to work on the flooring.  We initially thought he did a good job but later the flooring(single squares with self adherance properties) started raising so we called and they came out again.  This job was left with excess glue on the floor and then we noticed that there were several lumps under the flooring.  We called on this but no one came out.  A couple months went by and I dropped by and talked with Home Depot reps and they said they would look into it.  A month went by and then the same guy came out and redid the job.  He acted nice enough but obvious he didn't think he had much of a reason to redo his work. <br />"

"Peter Rawlings, the owner of Nova, assessed my needs for new cabinetry for my home stereo system's electronic components, which are numerous, used CAD to determine the size and placement of a turntable to hold the shelving, fabricated the necessary pieces and installed them.  Peter is smart, experienced and easy to work with.  I selected him from Angie's List without knowing that he is an audio hobbyist, but his knowledge in this regard was invaluable in creating an superior product.  I would call on him again for any woodworking or remodeling project.  His experience and skill are very broad-based. <br />"

"I called Cahoon Carpet Layers because I had worked extensively with them in the past, both for clients and myself.  They had kept a piece of carpet left over from a previous job of mine that was big enough for the room.  They had stored the carpet for me for 3 years. <br /> They came the day after I contacted them and measured the room that needed the carpet replaced.  They then came the next working day to rip out the old commercial carpet and install the pad and new carpet.  They also stretched the carpet that needed stretching.  So they were extremely responsive. <br /> The carpet in the master bedroom looked so much better after Joel stretched it.  It is typical of carpet to become stretched out and ripple after several years. <br /> The new carpet looked great.  They also vacuumed up all the lint and carpet pieces and took away the old stuff.  Everything was tidy.  There are some companies that don't vacuum after installation and it looks very messy.  They also sent me a bill rather than asking for payment the same day. <br /> Tom and Joel do an excellent job and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Meridian, ID

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
