"Once I decided my asphalt shingle roof was too old to repair and needed to be replaced, I started getting bids. Soon I felt uneasy because I knew too little about roofing to evaluate the bids. So I stopped the bidding process and got educated about roofs. It made a huge difference in the kind of roof I chose, and who I chose to install it. It also put me in control of my project. Instead of being told by the roofer what I needed, I told the roofer what criteria had to be met to satisfy me. And I did it with confidence, because I had taken the time to learn about roofing. I decided there are three important factors of roofing to address for a good quality roof: 1. Materials; 2. Workmanship; 3. a systematic design for combining 1 & 2. If all three factors satisfy my level of quality, then the final result should be a roof that satisfies my expectations. Here is where I made a decision that was critically strategic: focus on materials and design before searching for workmanship. Before looking for a roofing contractor, I decided first to find the materials and design that made me happy. This decision put me in control of hiring a roofing contractor. Use the internet to learn about roofing materials. Manufacturers have technical instructions specifying their installation requirements in order to meet their warranty criteria. Knowing those requirements is important, because your homeowner's insurance will only cover damage to your roof if it was installed according to â manufacturer's installation requirementsâ . After careful consideration, I chose Owens Corning because of the features of their shingles, their roof system concept, their transferable warranty, their reputation, and the number of roofers I spoke with who swear by Owens Corning shingles. Whatever materials manufacturer you choose, make sure you know the reasons for your choice. My list of criteria for the systemic design of my roof. 1. Tear off all layers of shingles on the roof 2. Inspect the decking and make repairs 3. Remove all metal fixtures 4. Remove old ridge vents 5. Inspect gutters and down spouts 6. Install synthetic underlayment 7. Install starter shingles on all eaves and rakes 8. Install cool rated architectural shingles with a 135 mph wind rating 9. Install new ridge vents the full length of all ridges and color coordinated wind turbines 10. Install new ridge and hip shingles for a final, classy touch I was ready to find a roofing contractor because I had chosen a materials manufacturer and had developed a systemic design for my roof. I looked for a contractor certified by Owens Corning to install their materials. I looked at contractor web sites to get a feel for how they align with my design criteria list. After much deliberation, I chose All About Roofing, LLC in Surprise, AZ. When I met with Logan from AAR and talked about my criteria, he took a low key approach, listening and not trying to pressure me in any particular direction. He didn't rush through his visit but gave me the time to express my needs. I was satisfied with what I heard from Logan about AAR, but had one final request before signing a contract. I wanted to interview the owner of AAR and quiz him about his business model. Logan set it up, and I met with Devin and Logan at the AAR office. Devin welcomed the chance to talk about his company and the vision he had. I learned about his passion to make his customers happy through high quality workmanship. I was there about an hour and all my questions were answered. I signed the contract and scheduled the installation. AAR and I created a customer-contractor partnership that benefited us both. I highly recommend All About Roofing, LLC., Surprise, AZ., to install an Owens Corning Roofing System on your home. The quality of their work is excellent. If you have residential roofing needs, I recommend you ..."

"We had a great experience with Arizona Roofers replacing our storm-damaged roof. Their rep was the only one from multiple companies to walk the roof for the estimate, even resetting a loose tile for free. Our 35-year-old discontinued clay tile and failing underlayment required a decision. The rep clearly explained our options with detailed estimates: replace the underlayment under the old tile, or transition to asphalt shingles lasting 30+ years. We chose shingles. Scheduling started the next day with excellent communication. They responded quickly to questions and included two free decking sheets to limit unforeseen expenses. The two-day project went smoothly with an on-time crew. Project manager Carter kept in constant contact, sending over 600 progress photos. When issues arose, Carter was extremely receptive. Instead of a fight, he immediately acknowledged my concerns, explained the fix, and ensured 100% resolution. I highly recommend Arizona Roofers!"

"I cannot say enough wonderful things about S & R Roofing, these guys are the best there is. Very thorough in-process explanation. The timeline was dead on, pricing was very reasonable. Clean, fast, efficient company. I had a 2 layer roof tear off with new asphalt installation, they made sure all of the roof sheeting, the facia boards, the drip moldings were replaced as need and no more than what was needed. The most honest and upfront company I have dealt with in our home renovations over the past 12 years. Charlie was our main point of contact and what a personality. He is great, S & R Roofing is great, they are the only roofing company you will ever need."

"Joe genuinely cares about the work that he does. He also enjoys his work. He takes great pride in doing a fantastic job the right way. And I want to emphasize the right way. I got several quotes to have the underlayment replaced on a concrete tile roof. Joe matched one of the quotes but upgraded the materials he used and the workmanship involved. He will be at the job site and inspect the work to make sure it is up to his very high standards. After the job was done, I walked the roof to inspect the work. Every single tile had a crack chip or even a small nick was replaced. His no leak warranty was far better than any of the other quotes. I can't speak highly enough of the pride that Joe takes in his work and the quality of the end product."

"I contacted the company through Angie's list. The owner was prompt to contact me within 24 hours and came out to do an evaluation of our roof. Although it is in good condition, he did suggest a coating. However, since we do not plan to be here for more than a year and a half we decided to pass on having that done. But I must tell you that John is very professional in his estimation and that he is of upstanding character... no pressure tactics, just honest and practical insight. I had requested estimates and evaluations from eight other companies but canceled them after John visited as I found him of utmost reputation. This company has a long running track record of four generations. Should I ever need roof work I definitely will call this company. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐"

"Roofs Arizona did a very professional install on our home's roof. Bob Murphy and the entire crew were very courteous and responsive to any/all questions and requests. The pricing was the best of several quotes, however, even their best pricing seemed higher than expected. I would definitely recommend this contractor to others who need their roof replaced."

"I needed to get a new roof on my house before I could get Solar before the end of the year. JR Roofing gave me the best Customer Service and most conscientious work on my roof. They were timely and got my roof taken care of within two weeks! They were able to find and fix long-term problems that had to do with my HVAC system, as well. They also gave me the best quote. I recommend JR Roofing highly."

"We had roof storm damage from the Monsoon this summer. German roofing was the best bid to replace the entire roof, and had the best warranty as well. Manuel, Dianna, Lu, and the installers were great. Good communication via email and phone calls. We are very pleased with the final outcome, and the roof looks fantastic. Thank you all!"

"Mr. Shaw and his son are very professional. He kept us up to date on the work that was done on the roof. He presented a very reliable crew to do the work. There were two brothers that replaced the roof. We are so pleased with the roof! We would definitely hire them again. Thank you Mr. Shaw and crew for a job well done!"

"Alex replacement my roof in 2022 which was done timely, quickly and at a very fair price. Recently, the monsoon storms pulled up some shingles and Alex showed up the following morning inspected the roof and determined that all that was needed was to re-nail the shingles, which he took care of! I was extremely impressed that he would come back out to see me within 24 hours of me noticing the issue and fixing the damage on the spot! I was lucky that all that was needed was for the shingles to be secured but I do not think everyone would be as honest and upfront as Alex was. I would highly recommend hiring Alex for your next roofing job!"
