"He is a thief, a liar, and a con artist. He was hired for a kitchen remodel that was going to cost over $30,000, and I gave him a $12,500 deposit to start within two weeks. He resulted in a lot of 'no-calls, no-shows,' so I requested my money back since he broke the contract by not starting on the agreed date. I asked for a full refund of my deposit in October. It is now the end of December, and I have not heard from him—despite many promises since October that he would return my money."

"We had quotes from 30,000 to 60,000. It was like some of these guys wanted to rebuild the house. Kenny Wood initially came in close but under the lowest, but still a little too much for our budget. We discussed it and he made some suggestions to save money but still get the job done. His guys came in the next week, got right to work and did an excellent job. I would definitely hire Kirkenlow again."

"Had a patio door installed. Premier Windows System was great to work with. Tom was able to order the door and install within our time frame. The installer Matt was great and answered all questions I had pertaining to the door. Really enjoy the look and operation of the new patio door."

"Jim is quite the professional. He was prompt and explained the work to be done, how long it would take and the overall price. He met all my expectations. His helper was also polite and respectful. When the job was done you would have never known that he'd been there - he cleaned the area just as he found it. I would defintely hire him again."

"I would highly recommend Precision Painting AMF LLC. Ray Kluth listened to everything we wanted done on our initial walkthrough and then sent us a quote, broke down by room detailing everything that was to be done. We had received two other quotes and none of them provided this much detail. Ray was not the lowest bid, however Ray's expertise and crew size won them the job. The job took 5 days. The crew was fantastic with covering our hardwood floors and furniture. The dry wall repairs on the ceilings that were done are invisible! The painting job on the walls and cathedral ceilings is perfect! Even the wood trim repair in a skylight well looks beautiful. The crew was professional and definitely took pride in their work. They replaced all our furniture and cleaned up our floors and woodwork. At the end of the job, we did a walkthrough with Ray and pointed out a couple of spots which were immediately fixed. Precision Painting was definitely not the lowest bid we received, but we feel like we received a top notch professional job for the price. Fantastic Job!"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Michigan City, IN

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
