"The actual carpet cleaner did a great job but the owner stated a window time between 10-1. Furniture was moved into other rooms however he kept delaying the time. He called several times that day to delay than last call was to ask if I wanted to do it another day. I replied no, since furniture was moved. The carpet cleaner came late and the owner refused to give a discount stating I already received 1 for room deodorizer which would smell great. There carpet was clean but there was no "great" smell."

"The repair and cleaning was completed in a timely fashion. Since, we ordered the covers ourselves, he return on another day to do the installation. Company was very accommodating and communication via email or phone was reliable. We are very pleased with the work and will be using him again. Addition: Jim returned to install the two gutter covers as promised on Saturday, 10/17/20. We were waiting for the wasps to leave their nest before installing the last two covers. Job paid in full previously, so no charge for this."

"Quality cabinets at great price. We purchased a complete set of kitchen cabinets from Direct <br /> <br /> Depot Kitchen Wholesalers Inc. at 24 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Little Falls, NJ. We looked at <br /> <br /> a lot of different companies, but decided to go with Direct Depot because they had every door <br /> <br /> style sample imaginable which made it easy for us to make a decision. They had thousands of <br /> <br /> sample doors on display, and a huge showroom of full kitchen displays. <br /> <br /> Our designer was very nice and right away showed he was more experienced and knowledgeable <br /> <br /> than home depot, and the other cabinet dealers we also looked at. He also noticed a few things <br /> <br /> that the other companies had missed when designing our space. <br /> <br /> We were not looking for the cheapest price but the best deal and we were glad we found it. <br /> <br /> During the installation we had an issue due to the width of the drywall that had ended up being <br /> <br /> used. We used our own contractor and that was a mistake. He caused a lot of problems and <br /> <br /> delays in the installation but the general manager from Direct Depot Kitchens personally showed <br /> <br /> up and had to order a new cabinet to resolve the issue. Our contractor had started to put our <br /> <br /> hardware in the wrong places and we needed some new drawer heads.   Jeff took note of which <br /> <br /> ones they were, and to our surprise DDK didn?t charge  us for it even though it wasn?t their <br /> <br /> mistake. In a few weeks the parts arrived, and the finish matched the other cabinets perfectly <br /> <br /> (which we were concerned about). <br /> <br /> Because our contractor made so many mistakes and problems for us, we decided to not allow <br /> <br /> him to continue, and Jeff suggested we use their in house contractor to finish the job as he had <br /> <br /> full faith he could satisfy us. We tried to find several others also, but none wanted to take on the <br /> <br /> job as it was a mess already.  We took Jeff?s advice, and used their contractor. <br /> <br /> It was a big job but Jeff at DDKW made sure it got done and was done right.  The contractors <br /> <br /> arrived on time, were  neat  and efficient and it still took them  into the evening to finish. Jeff <br /> <br /> stopped in around 8:30 pm to inspect and make sure everything was done right and we were <br /> <br /> happy.  We are very happy. It?s very functional and looks great.  Thank You Direct Depot <br /> <br /> Kitchens."

"They were available. I called other people and they weren't available. He came by and gave me an estimate that morning. He told me I could call him by noon to let him know. He gave me a chance to think about it and I could have called him later. But I needed it done that day or I wanted it done that day. He came back with a crew of 2 other guys and they removed the snow. I had some damage in the house and because they were contractors I asked him to assess the damage and give me an estimate they would charge to fix it. He came and looked at it and I haven't heard from him. I guess they didn't need the business or maybe it was an oversight. I want to call him back because I now have the insurance check and want to set it up and get it done when the weather breaks over here. Initially, the price for the snow removal appeared to be expensive to me, but I don't know in comparison to what. I didn't have any other choices and I wanted it done right then and there. The job was done. I had to ask them to take off a couple of icicles in the back of the house after they took off the snow, otherwise they wouldn't have taken the icicles down. I had icicles that were at least 7 feet long. They would have been potential deathtraps if they had fallen on somebody."

"I contacted Shnaitman's Flooring America after another contractor Did a substandard ceramic tile floor install. <br /> The people at Flooring America are very Professional, and are extremely Knowledgeable about all aspects of flooring. <br /> After visiting Flooring America and choosing a tile for size and color, John Schnaitman came to my home, <br /> measured the floor drew an exact sketch of the how the tiles would be layed out, <br /> and gave me an estimate on the spot. <br /> John the made a few suggestions on how to get the floor prepped for the new install (because I removed the old floor myself). <br /> The installers were very polite and professional and did the install of the ceramic tile floor. <br /> The floor came out Excellent and I am 100% pleased with the way this job came out. <br /> The bottom line here is Hire people that do the type of work you are looking to get done. <br /> Schnaitman's does flooring and keeps up on the flooring industry. <br /> I would recommend Scnaitman's Flooring America to anyone looking to have ANY type of tile work or flooring done. <br /> <br /> <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Mount Pocono, PA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
