"They came and put in a much better high speed pump that fits in the well and they put on a well hatch that's exposed now so that you can easily fix it. We had no water and they responded instantly. They came in and did the estimate and then the next day they came out with a crew with about 6 guys. They were digging up the well, one person was out there installing the well hatch and two people downstairs n our crawl space were there for the new pump situation and they were done that day because we were living without water. So their responsiveness was excellent, their people were extremely courteous and friendly and I think it was about $3800 to do all that."

"when tech showed up the dryer seemed to be working and heating however it did not when I called, seemed the heating element was cracked creating and off and on working condition. I went ahead to repair the problem by purchasing a new heating element. I was surprised however that the tech expected me to pay in full before he ordered the part and repaired the problem, but I did using my credit card knowing if there was a issue the credit card co. would have my back, The part was order and Alex fixed it as soon as it came in and was great"

"We suddenly found on a Monday morning that we had no water. My husband investigated to see if there was an electrical problem, but found everything was OK, leaving him to assume that the problem was likely the well pump. Our plumber recommended Perry Estabrook, owner of H2O Pumps. He arrived within half an hour and had the pump pulled and replaced, and the water running in less than three hours. He was pleasant and professional to work with. Perry charged $800 for the pump, plus $40 tax. We checked out prices on line afterwards, and found this was a reasonable price for the particular pump. He charged $75 for the service call and $100 for labor. It appears that means he charges $75 for the first hour and $50 per hour after that. When I was telling my neighbor this story, she said she knew Perry because several years earlier her well pump had died in the evening, in the winter, on a holiday weekend. She just started dialing everybody in the Yellow Pages and mostly got no answers. But Perry answered and was on the job in no time. He dug through the snow to get to her well and replaced her pump quickly."

"I called several plumbers in my area. Richard P Waltz answered and told me that their plumbers were all scheduled for the remainder of the working day, but could send one after 5 PM, though I would have to pay overtime. I agreed. But one of their plumbers finished up a call early and they sent him to me around 4 PM. He quickly diagnosed the problem as the rubber washer in the valve failing, due to age. With the help of the building property manager I got the water main to my area shut off and the plumber opened up the valve and replaced the washer, which broke apart as he took it out - he was absolutely right in his diagnosis. When I had the building water turned back on we found that I still had a leak from the faucet, but now we could shut off the water and the plumber found that the faucet itself had seals that had failed. But at that point I could do the work myself, so thanked him and he left. He'd spent only about 1/2 hour, and I paid the regular rate. Great service, excellent knowledge."

"The process was quick and easy. I just provided a water sample. It was determined that I had high levels of chlorine in our drinking water. I was able to solve my water problems with only one filter. Why did I wait years to have this done? Now I can be confident that our water is safe. Highly recommended."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Naples, ME

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
