"The best! Keith, Hank, Michael and Grant were a pleasure to work with over the course of several months last year. I have dealt with many contractors, both personally and professionally, and I can tell you that they should be your first call on any project. The work was done on time and on budget. We added some things to the project, but in no way did they push us to add a single additional item. In fact, we added a complete rebuild of the deck after the project had begun and there was no premium on the additional cost as compared to other contractors who know they have a captive audience. They were present at the property nearly every single day of the project, including Saturdays, as opposed to other contractors who simply give the work to subcontractors and check in once or twice a week, at best. In other words, they know what is going on at all times and are able to give guidance and direction to the subs, and us, on site. They are also more than willing to listen and make any adjustments without crushing you with additional costs! And, they actually work and work hard (especially through the brutal, brutal summer heat last year when we lost our air conditioning for a couple of weeks). I have known Keith and the crew for many years and there is nobody else I would trust to complete such an extensive project which included: completely new roof, all new siding, replacement of every single window in the house (which Keith, Hank, Michael and Grant) did personally, new addition (which included replacement of primary first floor structural beam), new primary bath and primary closets, new flooring, whole house painting including ceilings and more. Lastly, they don’t bite off more than they can chew which sets them so far apart from every contractor we have ever dealt with. Personal touch, presence, attentiveness and excellent workmanship. "Having had work done in my home from small tasks to significant renovations I have encountered several contractors who perform marginal or substandard work so I decided to source a reputable contractor from Angi. After reading the comments and reviews, I arranged a personal meeting with Mike Melia for my bathroom renovation. Mike responded quickly to evaluate and explore and explain the best options while taking into consideration my handicaps. Throughout the project there was much infrastructure from prior work performed and existing conditions. Mike addressed all structural problems, plumbing and electrical repairs including a new sub panel. Mike has remarkable attention to detail for every aspect of work and he completed the work with a high standard of professionalism with his employees and subcontractors. Mike was on site everyday in constant communication with myself and my insurance company. He was unexpectedly neat and clean throughout the process. This very challenging project could not have gone smoother. He is personally knowledgeable and takes pride in his work. I would highly recommend Mike and his team. I am now using Mike and his team to build a full deck and to make structural repairs to my garage. He removed a cabinet in the kitchen so we’ll he was able to reassemble it. He cleaned up nicely after the work was done, even mopped the floors! I will definitely be working with him again for future projects."

"We live in a prewar coop building in Manhattan and were in need of a kitchen, living and dining room/den renovation. Because of the limitations in our building, we were not optimistic that many changes could be made that would dramatically alter the feel/function of the space. Inson Wood proved us completely wrong. With his architectural eye and his impeccable design aesthetic we (and everyone who has been here before and after) experiences our apartment as an entirely different living space. Even family members are shocked at the transformation. I think that what Inson accomplished was the product of a few significant factors. First, Inson asks you what you want and seriously considers how you live. If Inson thinks that different approaches should be considered for what you want, he provides renderings of each option so that you can easily visualize and imagine them. Ultimately, Inson respects your preferences and works with them, elevating them to a level far above what you had imagined. Inson uses the highest quality vendors (whom we NEVER would have found) and expertly guides you through choices (note: follow his recommendations!!!)- our walls would never have had dimension and our kitchen backsplash never have been so unique (two examples) if not for the artisans that Inson uses. Inson is also willing to have you be as much or as little involved in the process as you want to be. I did go with Inson to choose many pieces of furniture but realized after a certain point that his taste point made me confident in him choosing much finishing work (ex: window treatments, decorative cushions, which I love) without me. As with all design work, there are always glitches and Inson was extremely responsive and responsible for taking care of those as they came up. We are nothing less than thrilled to come home each evening and enjoy our space, which feels like a luxurious retreat perfectly tailored to us."
