"Tim showed up on time and did an AMAZING job. Our basement and the stairs leading to the basement were filthy. They have never been cleaned in 20 years. I read the reviews on Angie's List out this company and decided to give them a try. By the time Tim was done, our carpets looked almost new. I did take before and after photos that I will post if there is an option to do so. I would definitely hire this company again and would recommend them to my friends and family. They do a great job, they are hard working and they are very honest!"

"I don’t think I’ve ever written an internet review before about anything, but I feel as if I have to warn other consumers about Cunningham’s. We sent four rugs to be cleaned by them in November 2017. When they returned a month later, and after a $760 cleaning bill, one of our rugs was totally destroyed. The rug we sent out had some wear and tear and some dirt, which is why we got it cleaned in the first place, but when we got it back, the stains were larger, the backing of the rug had totally dissolved, the material was frayed and further worn, it was puffy (before it had been flat and thin, which is why we bought it to go under our dining room table), and it had shrunk several inches on each side. Please see the attached photos. After several phone calls, someone from Cunningham’s came out to take pictures. He was visibly stunned at the condition of the rug. After several weeks, we were told the following: “As we discussed rug cleaning is part science and part luck. With so many manufacturers out there all using different methods of construction it is impossible for any rug cleaner to know what the outcome of a cleaning will be because we do not know everything used in the different constructions.” The rug came from Crate & Barrel. It’s about as mainstream a rug as one could purchase. Further, the materials used in the construction were plainly printed on the care label. After a few phone calls to other cleaners and a discussion with Crate and Barrel, we were told that it is plainly obvious and common industry knowledge that dry extraction is the appropriate method for cleaning a viscose rug. This was not the method used by Cunningham’s. Instead of admitting error, Cunningham’s shifted blame to the rug itself: “However, the rug cleaner can not be responsible for what we believe to be inherent flaws in the way certain rugs are manufactured.” It was the rug’s fault? Or, maybe, it was my fault for hiring them to clean the rug in the first place? “Tufted rugs can be beautiful and are often inexpensive and therefore appeal to the mass market but they are not designed to last very long and in some cases really aren’t designed to be cleaned.” Apparently, I should have known that the rug wasn’t designed to be cleaned and should never have sent it to Cunningham’s in the first place? Crate & Barrel had this to say: “The cleaner also stated that their cleaning method is both science and luck. We don't believe luck should be a factor as a professional cleaner should know how to clean this type of rug. The recommended cleaning method is professional dry extraction. … A professional cleaner should know which method is best, as it is common knowledge and the construction is on the rug's tag. Fibers do not change whether being used on a shirt or carpet and Viscose like Rayon should be dry cleaned.” Anyone can make a mistake. All I ask is that mistakes be acknowledged and amends made. They have only offered to reimburse the cost of the cleaning ($240) and nothing else. This is unacceptable when an entire rug must be replaced. Why? “Unfortunately, rug manufacturers are not making it easy on rug cleaners to successfully clean all types of rugs without some inherent risk of physical changes. Due to this unfortunate trend we can not be liable for replacing items altered as a result of cleaning.” In short: cleaning rugs is hard! We can’t keep up! I regret ever sending our rugs to Cunningham’s. I encourage you not to make the same mistake we did."

"Extremely poorly. Duct Cleaning seemed to go well, BUT after the job I saw that 2 registers were permanently cut out of my main inflow duct and main outflow duct in the basement. I was not asked if i want these taken out (I didn't) and my 3 texts asking a call-back about this were not answered. It seems as if it was easier to cut holes in the ducts than to unscrew, take out the registers and put them back in order to vacuum the ducts. Did he think I just wouldn't notice because I am oldish? I had to have Perry Hall HVAC put a register back in my inflow duct and before heating season will pay them to put a register back in the outflow duct. One of the most upsetting parts is the refusal to contact me."

"I hired A Plus to install engineered wood flooring in my basement and Shaw oak hardwood flooring throughout my home. The first part of the project went smoothly. Two of their regular installers did a great job installing Mirage engineered wood flooring in the basement/family room. Unfortunately, I was informed the day before installation of the hardwood flooring, that a “different team” would be used. This different team turned out to be a subcontractor “Mario” and his crew. In all 5 of Mario’s workmen showed up at my house and were allowed to install the hardwood flooring largely unsupervised. There are significant issues with the quality of the installation. Most notably gaps were left between the stair rail and flooring and there are numerous gaps between the planks throughout the house. In addition, steps installed by this subcontractor are creaking and crackling due to movement of the wood and several stair noses are not level. After initially agreeing to reinstall some of the flooring, Eric Rome (owner/operator of A Plus) apparently decided to have his subcontractor apply wood putty in the middle of my floors to fill in the numerous gaps. Wood putty was also used to fill the gaps between the flooring and stair rail. I will now have to pay another contractor to fix the mess left by Mario’s guys. I hold A Plus fully responsible for this fiasco."

"I have used the Tomas Brothers for a deck tear down and rebuild, installation of new windows and doors, and complete remodeling of our club room/basement including a small bathroom. They were responsive to my requests and creative in making a lovely cabinet to hide the sump pump. I will definitely call them when ready for the next project!"

"An excellent experience all around. We had our entire downstairs tile floor replaced with vinyl planking. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpful. The estimate was absolutely pressure free. The installation crew was top notch and courteous. When they were done our rooms were as clean as before the job was started. I highly recommend them."

"Vertical Connection is wonderful! I asked them for a certificate of insurance, and they gave it to me. Stephanie was very helpful. In an e-mail, I told her that I wanted white draperies. When I arrived at the store, she had many samples already picked out for me. I told her that I wanted the draperies to match the paint on my walls. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring a sample of the paint color. Stephanie, however, has samples of all of the Sherwin Williams paints, and she matched the swatch to the paint color perfectly. She also had a nice selection of hardware to go with the curtains. The installer put up the drapes in less than an hour. I had a great experience with this vendor!"
