"They discussed what needed to be done and explained the cause for the deck damage. They arrived as scheduled and made the repairs and left the worksite neat going that extra mile to make sure it was done right."

"James was amazing! He was in contact with us in scheduling a time to look at our project, we received an estimate by email the next day and let us know a time frame on when he could get the patio poured. He was extremely professional and the sub-contractor he hired to do our job was on-time and worked till late evening just to clean up the job site. I would definitely hire Driftless Craft for our next project!!! "

"My garage door opener was not working, and it needed to be repaired or replaced. He was willing to look at repairing the brand I had (most won't even look at a Genie). As I suspected, it couldn't be repaired, and he advised me on the replacement. The price he quoted was less than that I got in a phone quote from other companies, and he was able to come quickly and install it. It's working great, and he was really good to work with."

"We were selling our house. The buyer did a home inspection and felt that we had some hail damage to the roof. They followed up the inspection with a contractor inspection which also determined damage. I contacted our insurance company and they agreed that there was a claim. We had already determined a closing date and we did not want this to go to escrow, plus I was moving out of the state and the weather was terrible. The easiest thing I could have done was to hire the contractor that had already looked at the roof. They however had vehicle license plates from another state and caller ID from a different state than that! I contacted 3 companies of which Trinity was one. Understanding the situation, they were out quickly to look at the roof, came out Saturday to review the quote, put it into production that Monday, worked hand in hand with the Insurance company, did the beautiful installation in the 2 days it wasn't raining, and did a beautiful job of cleanup. I forgot to mention, this was a very large job. $40K. A 3800 square foot house/garage and a out building. This group was magnificent. They exceeded my expectations, and that doesn't happen very often. I can and do rest comfortably knowing the new owners have a beautiful new home protected with a Trinity roof, gutters and sky lights. THANKS TRINITY!!!"

"I contacted Hamlen in fall of 2016 - too late to get deck work done. I kept in contact with the owner (Trevor) and he was able to do the work in June 2017. He gave us options, recommendations, and probable reasons we had continuing problems with the previous deck finish. The cost was reasonable and the results are impressive. I had forgotten what our deck could look like - it's beautiful again. By the way, Hamlen was the third contractor I've contacted in as many years trying to get this work done. The owner was the only contractor to consistently return our calls or emails, and meet with us personally. Excellent all around."

"The construction quality is solid, though there are some noticeable substitutions made, presumably to come in at budget...such as non-commercial carpeting in the common area hallway, painted exterior surfaces on the porches that quickly cracked and peeled due to the harsh Minnesota weather patterns, and a vanity that is discoloring and cracking around the sink drain.  These have been acceptable things to deal with.  The primary frustration we had with Radcliffe was follow-up with our concerns after we had moved in.  We were given Les Radcliffe's phone number in case we had questions or concerns.  We called him a couple of times and each time he came over he seemed irritated and frustrated that we called him.  This was also the experience of other unit owners who called him.  Each time he came to the condo he solved the problem we had called about but it was not pleasant to interact with him.  The actual construction, however, is still in great shape now seven years later.  The cabinets are very high quality construction, the floors, walls, plumbing, electrical, are all very well done.      <br />"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Rochester, MN

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
