"This was a trial job before a potential kitchen removal. It involved moving our boiler a short distance, walling off the area, fixing the floor, some electrical. The Babcock family themselves professional but didn't follow thru with the subs. The subs were only concerned with doing the fastest, cheapest job they could do (classic example is on the plumbing rework, the plumber substituted PEX for copper and the former isn't rated for the latter job)."

"Loved working with Zia Restoration team . Previous contractor was incompetent, but Zia provided a detailed estimate, explained the reasoning behind each, and helped us work with insurance to insure we had an agreed approach and costs on all parties parts. Then followed up the estimate process with an on schedule and on budget repair. Could not ask for anything more."

Customers say: Quality work

"We hired Circle Diamond on 2/17/25 for a fixed price contract to rebuild our house after a fire. The contract included a draw schedule in 5 payments after the work was completed. This was why we hired them, because we paid money upfront with another builder who took off. Everything was fine until December owner Francisco Rueda wanted to abandon the contract in favor of paying for work that was never completed, like stucco, drywall, closets. Everything time they?d run out of money they demanded more, threatening to quit and file a lien . our living situation was coming to end and we were terrified of having no place to stay, it?s been almost 3 yrs since our house burned down. So we kept paying. After our last payment of $165k, they cashed the check for work not completed, and refused to move forward. No heat, electricity, kitchen, no bathrooms. We paid 90% of the project and they took off, taking $1,900 of Kohler fixtures I?d paid out of pocket. Our only choice is a lawsuit."

"Extraordinarily efficient. About a week from making the best bid to completion. I had asked for help in creating a fence/part wall on porch to cut down road noise. The noise is better and I unexpectedly ended up with a space which now has a cozy, warm, safe feel. Thanks!"

"Daniel and his crew did a good job planning and completing the project of adding 500 sq ft to the back of my house. That included demolition of back porch and fireplace, expanding the living room, primary bedroom, primary bathroom and large walk-in closet. We worked well together in the design and execution of my dream home. The best way to communicate with Daniel is by text. "

"Prime Luxury Design Construction recently renovated our primary bathroom and we're thrilled with the results. The tilework is neat and beautifully done. Oscar was responsive and easy to work with throughout the entire process. Their quote was competitive, landing in the middle of other bids we received. One of the best experiences we've had with a contractor. We love our new bathroom and would hire Oscar and his team again (and plan to!). "

"Keith McIntosh carried out very careful restoration of shutters and windows that were poorly fitting. This required accurate measurement and construction of additional woodwork to fit the windows and shutters and weatherproofing them. He also worked on doors that required re-fitting to allow them to close properly. He has always been careful, kind and thoughtful."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Santa Fe, NM

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
