"Carpet To Go handled our carpet selection and installation, through the Costco program. We were extremely pleased with the entire process, from selecting the carpet, to the fast scheduling, and excellent installation which was completed in less than 2 days. The price was very competitive, and the installers were professional, clean and courteous. We would not hesitate to recommend Carpet To Go."

"Pogi came to do carpet repair same day after carpet was cleaned. He took a look at area needing repair and said he could fix it. He removed a thread from the same kind of carpet in the closet and went to work fixing it. It wasn't cheap, but it was cheaper than a new carpet. Pogi did a great job and we were happy with the results."

"I had them come out a couple of times to fix air bubbles. I had to call like three times to get the installer to come back out. Communication just was not as good as I wanted. They were punctual."

"Outstanding service. Costco subs the work out to an installation firm, but they're so image-conscious that we were confident that Costco's research of the installers was more thorough than any research we would have done on our own. Installers were prompt, clean, efficient, and courteous. Windows look and function beautifully. Price was far and away the lowest of three bids, and no negotiation required. Highly recommend using Costco."

"I needed window coverings for 19 windows in a new home. I sent an email request through Costco and a Hunter Douglas designer contacted me within 48 hours. We divided the order into two phases and the designer and I met twice to complete each phase. After the orders were placed, the installer contacted me to set installation appointments. Craig, the installer, was excellent! He noticed that two of the shades weren't wide enough and had taken the measurements and was ready to order the replacement before I had a chance to mention the problem.I am delighted with all the window treatments and will use this Costco service again without hesitation."

"Installers, Bill & Wally, arrived as scheduled and performed the installations (some with new padding Longs Floors provided, and most with already present padding) efficiently and according to plan. <br /> The carpet was a very close match to other carpet in our home; because of the existing carpet's age, this was most appreciated.  Their clean up was complete and new/old remnants removed as agreed. <br /> I am thoroughly please with the quality of the installation and the professional, friendly customer service that was encounted on site and at their Issaquah office.  <br /> They would definitely be hired again and will be sincerely recommended to friends and family. <br />"

"John at Shoomadoggie came at the appointed time and did a quick and efficient job of measuring.  We were provided with a quite competitive estimate within a day.  Shoomadoggie worked very hard to find exactly the flooring and flush mount wood heat registers we wanted.  A three man crew showed up punctually and tore out the carpet and baseboards and hauled them away within about an hour.  They gave us a week to paint the living room and hallway, and delivered the flooring four days before installation so that it have time to adjust to the humidity in our house.   They were punctual in showing up for the actual installation, which went quickly and smoothly.  They did an expert job and the new floor and baseboards are beautiful, and they didn't ask for any payment up front.  We paid in full after the job was done.  We have had some bad experiences with contractors in the past, but these guys were great.  I can't recommend them highly enough."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Silverdale, WA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
