Customers say: Quality work

"Macc and his team did an excellent job on our deck installation project. Everything from helping us select the right materials, designing the layout, and completing the installation with quality and attention to detail. Everyone we interacted with was highly professional and left the work site clean. In addition to our decking project, Macc also subcontracted some really great concrete work for us which included a new driveway, front porch, and walkway, as well as some decorative stamped concrete in the backyard. This project went very smoothly and the end result met and exceeded all of our expectations. They also did some repairs to the exterior of our home/roof which included replacement of multiple facia boards at a reasonable price. Overall, we were very pleased with the quality of the work and the integrity and professionalism of Macc and his team, and we would hire them again for future projects. Highly recommended!"

"Since this remodeling was the first remodeling that we decided to do after a long time since we did our last remodeling that required to hire a contractor to do it. The kitchen that we wanted to remodel, need to includes the cabinets, floors, island, counter tops, hardware, paint and lighting. We also wanted to do as many energy efficient features that will help us reducing the bills during time. Our search was for high quality and low quality and reputable construction companies that can service my area. Landmark construction energy crew was the great find that I was able to talk to and hire. First off their service was top notch. They were very responsive from the first meeting we had, patiently and really wanted to know what I’m trying to do in the kitchen. They were in touch with me during the whole work and made sure to provide me with updates regard anything that was complete and what will be next. What I liked most was that they were extremely detail-oriented. I very much appreciated that, especially given the Major scope of my project and plans. The end results were more than I expected. All the low voltage lightings, the special insulation that they used, the extra protection that they installed in the window that I have in the kitchen and more… All of this features improved the energy protection at the kitchen. They followed up with me the following day after all the final documents were signed off by me about the work in order to make sure that I was happy with the final results. I'm happy to mention that kitchen remodeling project was completed a little bit before the due date."

"Went fair. Quality of windows and service is good. There a couple of mistakes that made me grade a little lower. They took care of the errors quickly but I had to take additional time off work to be here at home to meet the installers. The first mistake was their office related where we had ordered windows with grids and when the office re-wrote the order they left out the grids. The installers had to install the plain windows without grids and later come back out to re-install the glass with the grids. Second error was window factory related where we ordered an eyebrow shaped picture window and they sent a semi-circle window. There were big gaps in the corners. They re-ordered and fixed. Overall we would use them again. We had referred them to a friend. Installation was excellent and courteous. Just a couple of ordering mistakes. We love our windows and helps the bills."

"My late mother's house was built in 1892. There had been several additions and upgrades to the property before she bought it 12 years ago.
There was extensive dry rot and insect damage in the wrap around front and back porches, their roof supports, the house underpinnings, and portion of the living wall. This was identified by a pest inspection I requested as part of putting the house up for sale. Mike's bids were reasonable and detailed. Due to financial issues, Mike worked with me, completing work as funds became available. Additional problems were discovered during demolition and each was addressed with a full estimate for the additional work needed. Mike kept me informed each step of the way via email and phone calls. I live
1 1/2 hours drive away and could not be present to manage the project on a daily bases.
Due to the age of the house, there was no way to bring it up to current code. Mike suggested additional underpinnings and bracing be added to reinforce the structure. This was made the house much more sound and eliminated most of the floor squeaks.
Despite a February of unusually snowy weather, the work was completed on time and within budget. Mike bought in the necessary trades people needed for interior and exterior paint, flooring and electrical. This work was also completed in a timely fashion and on budget.
During the whole house inspection only few items were called out. Mike took care of them quickly and the repairs requested by the buyer were not extensive or expensive.
Mike kept me informed during the entire process, dealt with me patiently as I panicked along the way, the project cost what I expected and was performed professionally.
I'd work with him again in a minute and would trust any tradespeople he recommended."

"I don’t have any negative complaints about them. They are very courteous and very responsive. They will service my home in the middle of their service visits also if I have any problems. They are a little expensive but all other aspects are good. "

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Somerset, CA

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
