"I thought listening to recommendations on Angi would be the right way to go, man was I wrong. I called them about a water leak at a cutoff valve and when they arrived late, they charged me over $400 to replace the cutoff valve. Then gave me an estimate to replace water lines through the attic instead of having them under the slab as they are now, If water leaks in the attic would not you think that would make a worse mess and damage? But the kicker is they gave me an estimate of over $9,000 to do this which one person to do the work and would take one day? $9,000? Were the new water lines going to be made from gold or what? Never again will I call them."

"Was originally scheduled to come out to give an estimate scheduled through the Angi app. They did not show up for the estimate appointment. When I called they blamed the app and that they don?t schedule appointments for estimates using the Angi app. They gave me an estimate over the phone. I didn?t provide them enough detail about what I was needing to have done. (my mistake). I scheduled an appointment to come out. They missed the appointment the first day. They then offered to come out first thing the next day which was nice. The technician struggled with the work, possibly because they didn?t have enough information upfront. The technician dropped the light fixture and damaged my dining room table. Probably because he was not well armed with the information he needed about the task at hand. Not really his fault. The light fixture did not appear to be well anchored to the ceiling when the job was completed. Tech assured me it was, but since I was helping to hang it,I could see that it was not. At this point, the tech seemed worn out. When I called and asked to send someone else out to secure it better, they spoke to the tech who installed the fixture and he assured them it was fine. So that conversation was closed. They did offer to fix my table that was damaged. However they really wanted to know immediately about how they could resolve it. After telling them that I needed to find out the cost of repair and needed some time to investigate. They also told me at that time that the original estimate they gave me was too low based on the work they actually had to do. They did honor the original quote but basically wanted the table damage resolved that instant, before the technician left. I paid them and sent them on their way and told them I would have to get back to them on the cost of the table repair. Perhaps if when the tech saw the scope of the original estimate didn?t match what I actually needed done and we had talked about it then, we might have had the opportunity to adjust to get more people involved. That might have eliminated dropping the light on my table and facilitated a more positive experience. Or they could have come out to do the original estimate as scheduled through the Angi app or fixed that disconnect with Angi that they were apparently aware of. I?ll need to hire someone else to come out and reattach the light more securely. I?ll pay to have my table fixed myself simply because I don?t want to deal with these folks. Just seems like bad luck with me. They seem nice and they tried but the end result was not a positive experience."

"I'm a repeat customer of Evans Electric. Matt and team did all the electrical work 4 years ago when we finished our basement. Fast forward to Nov. 2023, Matt and team did some electrical work for our kitchen reno, plus recessed lights/switches for bathrooms and office. Matt initially came for consultation and estimate (came by on time), provided various options as though it was his house. I always appreciate different perspectives and the conversation that is "if I were you, I would..." or "have you thought about..." This week, Matt and Tim came for the work, and can't say enough about how great the work is, their professionalism, and attention to detail. Looks great! Great communicator, I knew what they were going to do, what was expected. Matt, Tim, thank you for your work! Will definitely use Evans Electric again, and refer my friends to them as well."

"Installation went well in December and I thought we would be rating them A. The installers were excellent in customer service. However, when we realized the wrong actual lights (Regular filament vs LED) were installed and they all burned out within a week, in addition to some adjustments that needed to be done so the lights worked as dusk to dawn vs motion, follow-up from "headquarters" was delayed. Weather played a part, however I have contacted several times via, text, phone and email to finish the job and replace the lights to LED as they had called and agreed to do.I have not received a call back at all since February. Work was done in December?"
