"McCann Home Improvements restored my faith in home improvement contractors, and possibly humanity as a whole. I connected with Anthony after a previous contractor ripped me off and left my unfinished renovation in shambles. I was a handful, being so guarded to avoid getting ripped off again, but Anthony did exactly what he said he would do - he delivered a finished renovation, communicated clearly and frequently from start to finish, and helped solve problems that had been worrying me. On top of that, his electrician was hands down the best electrician I've worked with. What really stood out was simple - Anthony has a good heart and takes pride in the experience of his clients. It shows. I encourage you to check for yourself on Angi's List, BBB, Google, etc. You can't go wrong with McCann Home Improvements."

"The owners (Chris and Cal) did an excellent job on our remodeled project. They were personally involved with the project and worked directly with us during the entire planning and implementation of the work. They were true craftsmen. We wanted a contractor who could do the entire project and C&C fit the bill. They performed the drywall, flooring, windows, painting, electrical, and structural part of the job. We would highly recommend them ."

"These guys are not only pros—they are true gutter artisans. After a decidedly frustrating experience with previous roofers, who were at best sloppy but in any case showed no pride in work, working with Ryan Hankey and Always Perfect Contracting has been a breath of fresh air. The work was a challenging replacement of a decayed and rotting box gutter on a circa 1850s historic home on a steep hillside with 36 stairs. There was no way to save the box gutter. Ryan and his team of Jeff and Dino worked long days in high heat and humidity to get the job done in two days. Not only did they replace the gutter, they remediated some of the sloppiness perpetrated by previous roofers at no extra cost. I got three bids on this project, and although Always Perfect Contracting was not the cheapest, the level of craftsmanship more than warranted the price differential. I cannot recommend these guys highly enough—7 stars (out of 5)."

"We have used Inch Construction on a number of interior and exterior projects on an older home in Regent Square neighborhood. Each time the estimates were clear, the work began on time and was usually completed ahead of schedule. The costs were appropriate for the high quality of workmanship in each case. I would recommend Jay and Inch Construction without hesitation for any interior or exterior residential work."

"Brian did a fantastic job replacing over 8 electrical outlets throughout our home. He also filled in holes left from a radiator that was removed. He also retrofitted two outlets on our hearth that was not easy and required a bit of out of the box thinking. Everything looks great and he did in just a couple of hours."

"Sipes & Son performed major structural work on an addition in our old house. They fixed roof issues, reinforced a support beam, repaired countertops and restored the space seamlessly. Kept the space livable throughout the project. Talented crew - great attention to detail, punctual and hard working. Addressed all of our concerns. Very fair price."

"I was looking for a handyman. After dealing with a few incompetent guys, I came across Karl Poruben Jr. on Angie’s List. He had great reviews. I called him and discussed how I was looking to install gutter guards at my residence. He was familiar with the product. Next day, he visited the property to see what kind of ladders, tools etc. is needed for the job. We agreed upon a price. As promised, he showed my doorstep bright and early on Monday. It took him a few hours to complete the job. Job was completed with utmost satisfaction. He’s already coming back to work on different projects. Also, I am in the process of sharing his info with others so they can hire him as well. Don’t waste your time by calling others and give this guy a chance, you will not be disappointed."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Washington, PA

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
