"This was an Angie's List Big Deal, in which we paid a special price for 8 hours of handyman service. (Or 4 hours with two men; the same thing.) <br />       First of all, the lady manning the telephone/appointments for this new company was very courteous and professional - always a good sign. <br />        The two men were a little late arriving, but she called ahead to let us know. <br />        We felt that they accomplished all the above tasks in a thorough manner and the work seems to have been well-done. They acted like they wanted to do things to our satisfaction and were nice about doing a few little adjustments to the work that we requested, such as making extra-secure the tension shower rod. <br />         Somewhat to our surprise, they offered a one-year written guarantee on (I believe) the labor. That seems generous, considering the fact that this was a special deal, much discounted from their usual hourly rate. <br />        We liked their work well enough that we asked for a quote on future work. The quote seemed quite reasonable. <br />        Overall a very good experience. <br />"

"He does give free estimates. It was a huge branch that had fallen off. We called him and he came out the very next day at the time he said he would, he was on a job at the time that we called him. He climbed up on the roof and after about 30 minutes he came back down and told us his estimate. For buying the shingles, chop the tree down and take it to the back yard (because we have a fireplace). He gave us a really good break. When he came down from the roof he said the other person had put down felt that goes under it so his was thicker but it looked fine with it. He said eventually we would need a new roof. The shingles were an extra $30. He did it all in one and a half days. My nephew went up on the roof to inspect and he said it was excellent. It has rained one time since then and there were no leaks or anything. He came exactly when he said he was coming in the exact time he said he would and for the exact price he said when we started."
