"As a testament to how happy we were with our first renovation provided by the Curtice Group in 2021, which provided completely new kitchen/dining/mudroom/bath, we hired Scott and his team again in 2024-25 for another major renovation. This job was composed of 3 main parts: a gut remodel of our main bathroom, renovation of a large attic space (about 700 sq ft), and whole-home conversion from steam radiators (gas) to heat pumps including removal of all radiators and a chimney. The bathroom now is attractive and more functional, the attic adds a large amount of useful space as an office/kid room/guest area, and central air makes a more comfortable climate. I’m a big fan of the design/build concept, because you really don’t want to separate those two elements into different contractors, and if you find a talented company, they can handle all aspects of the job fluidly. Scott Curtice has a real knack for design, he is attentive and cares about details, and he will perform carpentry and touch-up work as needed. Moreover, he handled all the project coordination so that we could do the jobs that we do well, which do not include home renovation."

Was fair with pricing and his men started Monday morning. He went above and beyond. "I reached out to Tighe about doing some closet work renovations for us after seeing a recommendation by someone on Instagram and seeing his work. He came on short notice and during Christmas week. We showed him the areas we were considering to have work done. A few weeks later we had him get started on the closet renovations. Each closet just had a rod and shelf (not a great use of the space). Being an architect, I drew up the plans (half ikea parts and half custom) and got a reasonable quote from Tighe. Tighe exceeded my expectations. First of all, heâ s just a really nice guy, and very respective of our home given that I work from home since COVID, and kids are learning remotely. Everything he did was with care, and if something wasnâ t going to match what I had drawn, he communicated with me why it canâ t, and we worked together to have the best outcome.
