"I recently had a fence installed in my year from Jan Fence. I am very pleased. From the proposal process through the installation. Bob Slivka prepared our proposal and I must say it was the most professional set of documents I received from the number of proposals we requested from other competing vendors. The price was comparable to others but Bob went above and beyond what a customer expects. First he came to take measurements and brought samples, no other vendor did. Convinced me of choice of color by showing me what it would look like in my yard. After we had a surveyor come out, I asked him to come again to make sure which trees or bushes needed to be removed. Bob came again on a stormy evening. He was drenched and still helped us lay a rope line to define the area. He gave us some other ideas and also told us what to instruct the workers when they came to install the fence. The installers came and Jose and his crew were pleasant, professional and hard working. I was amazed how hard they worked to complete a long fence in one day. Some big boulders I couldn’t remove and assumed they would drill through were dug up and moved out of the way. Before the left they cleaned up everything and took all waste with them. They even rolled up my rope that outlined the fence location for me. Their price was fair (in the middle) of other estimates I got and the work was excellent. The work was done (about 75 feet of vinyl privacy fence) in half a day. There were several factors I was concerned about the installation as the area contained a very old fence and some overgrown uneven land, but the crew handled it easily and professionally removing all the debris the same day. "The job went great! In the two pre-contract site visits, we talked with Dave about the best way to install the fence, and we felt that he would be the most involved, and the he had the best sense as to what we wanted. The job took 2 1/2 days. We were amazed at how quickly they dug up the posts for the old fence, and cleared the concrete, and also how quickly they installed the new fence. There were a lot of tree roots along the area with the fencing, and they were very careful to hand dig everything, and to make the fence section a bit shorter if needed to avoid a root. In addition, they did a superb job attaching the bamboo, which took longer than the actual fence installation, and we discussed the best way to attach it and the best way for it to look. Dave and his brother were there for the beginning of the job. His brother was there for the pole digging (which was deep and had concrete down for two feet). In addition, we were most impressed by Manuel, who was the foreman for the job. He was both knowledgeable and creative. He and his team left the job broom clean each day, and they neatly stacked the extra bamboo where we wanted it. We were very impressed by the professionalism and workmanship, as well as the final product. We would strongly recommend Dave for your fencing needs."
