"The bid process was simple and Jeff answered all my questions. The work day started a little rocky. I received a telephone call when the workers were supposed to arrive, and the person asked if I was at a different address and if I was expecting remediation that day. I corrected the address and said I had expected them to be there already;  I had to leave a key because of the mixup/delay. My partner stopped by during the day and was impressed with the process. The basement looked GREAT (with the exception of a coffee mug stain on an egress window). 
I had planned to use a credit card because I saw the visa/mastercard logo listed on their Angie's list profile, but the salesperson "encouraged" me to pay with a check and generously offered to give me two additional weeks to pay. I completely understand that credit card fees are an issue; however, if the company doesn't want people to use them, they shouldn't list them as an option or adjust pricing to reflect cash vs. credit card payments.

"She was fine. We were working long distance and communication took place via phone and email. I would not ever hire someone long distance again for design work unless I see something on their website that is exactly what I like. She was very responsive though and she provided us with pictures of sample furniture and physical designs. I gave her a 'B' because she didn’t take a lot of time to customize the plan to our style. I expected her to adapt to our style, but instead she tried to make our living room fit her style. She seems to have a look that is her style and we actually asked her re-do the plan a few times before we got something usable. In the end, she is very good at what she does and she is very professional, but her design style doesn’t fit our way of living."

"We purchased the unlimited consultation package. Amanda is very friendly and professional. We struggled because we were looking for someone to consult with out of the box ideas. Once she understood our vision she could move forward, but innovation was not her strength. We paid an additional amount for drawings. These were detailed, and while not all changes were made as requested, we were able to get some value from them. In hindsight, I would not pay $99 for drawings. Any cabinet retailer will do these for you for free, which I did not know until afterwards. The company wants you to spend time telling them about your style, which ours is Country French. The first cabinet rendition we received was black expresso. We did a complete kitchen tear out so this may work fine for smaller jobs or if you have done this before. It just didn't work for us with distance and what we needed. I was able to find someone locally that sold the cabinets we wanted and she was a wealth of information and things moved much faster.
