"Stan and his crew did a beautiful, thorough, clean and detailed job rebuilding our 14x30 ft deck. He walked us through the whole process in buying trek, what to look out for and he did such a great job that my neighbors across the street hired him for their deck. Stan has done so many projects around our house (remodeled bathroom, replaced door wall, front door, replaced some of our siding and so much more) and we’ve been so pleased with everything he’s touched, it’s a no brained we let him do our deck too. You’ll never be disappointed. He doesn’t change the price on you mid project and he’s very reliable and always finishes when he says he will."

"Lo's did a wonderful job on our recent home repairs and remodeling work. Amadou and his crew were a pleasure to work with-- friendly, considerate, on time, fast. Amadou takes time to talk with you about the job to make you feel comfortable about the plans. The work was better than we could have ever imagined, and we had such a positive experience that we decided to re-hire them immediately to paint the exterior of our house."

"Serden Group just completed an extensive master bathroom remodel for us. What a great experience. The crew was very professional and completed the job as promised, including several changes and additions we requested during the project. They cleaned up daily and communicated their progress as they proceeded to ensure we knew what to expect each day. Great company to work with. We highly recommend Serden Group and we intend to use them again in the future."

"Looking for a contractor for your remodeling job? We give John Wood five stars. We hired John Wood of JAW Construction to transform a building shell originally intended to be a shop for building trusses into a small house (officially an auxiliary dwelling unit or ADU) and are thrilled we found him. The job required skills that extended beyond new construction to include the insight, skill and craftsmanship of a highly experienced remodeling expert. He possessed these in spades. Beyond his own expertise, he has assembled a set of sub-contractors that are excellent craftsmen in their own areas of expertise. The job was doubly challenging given that for much of the construction period we were out of state getting our old home ready for sale. This also meant that an extra element of trust was involved. John sent us pictures of the progress, so that we could monitor from a distance. In addition, he was able to identify and rectify several flaws in our design. As with any large construction/remodeling project, there were some unexpected expenses that came up, but John worked with us to help limit cost overruns, sometimes foregoing profits. He was also always up front about the costs of the various components. Our new home is gorgeous and reflects his sharp eye for detail. We couldn’t be happier. In short, if you want a highly skilled, trustworthy, hardworking contractor for your large (or small) job, we highly recommend John Wood of JAW Construction."

"Overall Jay is excellent. He is responsive, always answers texts or phone calls quickly and generally does what he says he will do. Like all construction projects there were small issues along the way but Jay got on top of them and addressed them quickly. Site was clean during construction work, his subs/trades were all good, nice people, skilled workers who did excellent quality work. Overall this was done well and in an acceptable timeframe. I think generally construction could have been executed quicker, there were a few times when no-one was working at the house that could have shaved some time. But, given my extensive experience with construction Jay is one of the good ones ! His estimate was high but he came in well under it and within sight of what I expected things to cost. I will (I am) definately using him again..."

"Outstanding. Stellar Construction delivers quality with terrific employees who were a pleasure to have at our home's job site. From design through project completion, the company owner, Micah and his team were top notch in all aspects of the project along with their communication at every important juncture. Their responsiveness coupled with craftsmanship is superb! Highly recommend Stellar Construction deck and other home remodel projects."

"Excellent! Good recommendations, attention to little details, work performed on schedule. The absolute best, professional 3-man crew - anybody would enjoy having them doing remodel work in your house while you were in the home."

"The re-contouring of our driveway - a double-wide shared with our neighbor (this used to be Crane Street once upon a time) - caused a steep slope and some erosion from our yard into the new driveway, which was lower and smoother than the old one.  In addition, there was a curving gap between the lower part of the driveway and the front retaining wall at the sidewalk.  Plus, stone steps that came down from the yard into the middle of the re-contoured driveway area were interrupted by the new, lower driveway, ending now in a dirt slope.  Finally, further up the driveway there was an area that would have been an obvious step up into the front yard, but was now a foot high drop over a low stone wall someone had built a few years before us.

Burrell studied all of this with us, and made a drawing and suggestions, and saw he could utilize many of the flat stones that had been recovered from a recent garden renewal project we had done.  His quote seemed fair - and less than a ballpark we had been given by someone else - and so we went with it.

His two stonemasons - Juan and Elevardo - worked two long, hot days on this, and accommodated a small design change mid-way through that had them re-do a little of their work.  They are great craftsmen, and knew just how to do their job.  We were hugely pleased by the result!
