"This has been by far the best experience I’ve had on Angie’s List, and certainly the best handyman service. The day after I purchased the deal, Two by Four Construction emailed to schedule the work and ask for a list of the jobs in order of importance. A week later their workman showed up on time and went straight to work. The jobs were: 1. paint a 20 x 11 ft kitchen ceiling from beige to white 2. replace two interior door knobs. 3. install door knocker 4. replace weather stripping on front door 5. repair a hole and install curtain rod bracket 6. repair wall crack 7. replaster and sand a former patch job on wall 8. caulk bathtub 9. paint remainder of kitchen, if there is time Jobs 1-8 took about 4 hours and during the remaining time he was able to paint the rest of the kitchen with two coats and did very nice work. He had all the supplies needed and also offered to make small improvements that I didn’t think of. In addition he was polite and helpful and I could tell that he wanted to do a good job out of personal pride. I will definitely be using this company again for any work in the future."

"We are extremely happy with the work done by Thomas Custom Builders (TCB). Overall they did an amazing and outstanding job! They had a contractor on site, on time every day. Brian S. was professional, helpful, patient, hard working and skilled both in managing subcontractors and doing work himself. I trusted him with our home and would work with Brian/TCB again easily. I have already recommended their company to others. TCB renovated a few parts of our house, added electricity to a shed and added an entire master bedroom suite on an additional floor (adding approximately 550 sqft to our house). They finished earlier than expected. Our neighbors couldn't believe how fast the addition was completed and how well done. Any additional costs from the original budget estimate were due to our choice to add more work. I waited to write a review. I wanted to live in the addition for a little while to see how everything holds up. We have had only minor things arise and have been very pleased with the responsiveness of Brian and TCB to come back out and check on things. They came back to add a bracket to a new countertop that moved slightly, they shaved a door that was sticking as the weather changed, they fixed the damage done when carpets were installed by another company, they arranged for a rep from the hot water heater company to come out and fix a noise issue, all done at no additional cost to us. I have worked with contractors before but nothing on this level. It wasn't perfect, there were concerns that came up. I had to learn that this was major construction and with major construction comes mess. Brian and his team addressed our concerns and remedied any issue fairly. With so many negative stories I've heard from people who worked with other companies, I am so very thankful that we had such a good experience and ended up with such an amazing master suite and changes to our home. We love it and we receive many compliments. We chose to work with TCB because they came highly recommended by a neighbor who had similar work done and were very satisfied with their outcome."

We did are due diligence by getting more than one estimate before proceeding and Jaber Construction was really affordable compared with other ridiculous estimates we received. That being said Jaber Construction's work was fantastic! Nick the owner and his crew were very professional, and Nick was always available and easy to communicate with if we had any concerns regarding the remodel. Nick also suggested a place to get our tiles which made the process so much easier. From start to finish he and his crew were very professional and punctual. "Devin was recommended to us by friends. Their remodel looked great and they said he had finished on time and on budget. To skip to the end he did the same for us. We liked Devin from the start, he has a very easy-going demeanor. He recommended a architectural designer (Steve Backus) when our first one didn't work out. Devin worked well with both of them. He really thought about how he would build what they were designing, so that once the plans were ready it all went smoothly. From ground breaking to delivery took less than the 6 months Devin promised. That's a fast pace so be prepared to make a lot of decisions in a short amount of time. We moved out so that Devin could have the run of the house and that was definitely the right decision for us. It let him go faster, and having our kids live in a destruction/construction zone would not have been good. We are thrilled with the result. Devin has an eye for the finishing details that make it all look top notch. Devin was attentive to the punch list and to the few issues that have come up since. We highly recommend him."
