"We have a smaller upstairs bathroom that had not been touched since 1975. The shower had been unusable for over a decade due to leakage. The space had to be completely gutted down to the studs and completely redone. The contractor we had used several times over the years retired, so we needed someone new who we could trust. Radical Renovations (Angelo) was recommended to us by N & S Supply in Kingston and I'm SO happy we hired him! He's professional, responsive, patient and finds solutions to all issues that invariably come up when you're dealing with old homes. Plus, the crew who he brought in to work with him was also pleasant and professional. I would absolutely hire Angelo again...in fact I already am!"

"From the second Kevin walked in for our estimate I could tell he was genuine and not trying to oversell or take advantage. Our project was a basement remodel for my mother who was moving in. The entire experience was wonderful, from start to finish. His team is amazing, super dedicated and we were involved in every step along the way. Kevin was always right there talking my mom through what she needed, helped her pick out her finishing touches, and even suggested we add/remove things from the remodel we would have never thought of doing on our own. He never once made us feel like we were asking too much and ANYTIME I had a question or concern he always got back to me same day. "Overall everything went well. They were very responsive, came around 8:30 each day when I was told they’d arrive between 8-9, and the owner checked in on the worker each day. I was pleased he put up a plastic sheet to block off the area while sanding so the dust didn’t end up all over. The person doing the work did need to borrow our screwdriver and use a garbage bag so it was slightly surprising he didn’t have everything he’d need himself. Additionally there are a few noticeable scrape marks in the mud which will need to be patched up. For the most part though we are happy with the work and how efficient they were."

"The assessment appointment was accomplished quickly and the actual work was performed in a timely manner. I thought the plumber they sent was very professional and knowledgeable. When some of the brand new parts proved to be faulty, the follow-up appointment was schedule quickly and went smoothly. When some minor complications arose, I was both surprised and pleased at how the plumber went out of his way to make things perfect at no additional cost to me. The quoted price - which I believed to be reasonable - proved to be the actual price charged. Overall, I thought D Rohde did a great job. I will certainly use them again."

Two were slightly cheaper than Unique Construction, but the comments and the assessment were not thorough and one of the contractors gave us a lowball estimate with the builtin "plus if we run into..." I was really glad when Unique Construction came and took a look. Unique Construction stood out compared to others by as being upfront, honest, and professional. They got the job and that was exactly how it was. They did the job within the budget. They said it costs X and it ended up costing X. Unique Construction was also active in seeking solutions, workarounds to problems, and instead of enlarging unexpected challenges, they came up with a quality solution. I would never hire anyone else in this area for a $1000+ construction job."
