This time we had an emergency and Javier responded quickly, asking his men to remove a cracked tub and demolish the surrounding tiles. In their place they installed a new tub and plumbing plus beautiful new tiles for the surrounding wall, adding 2 grab bars, one for the tub and the other for the Master shower to prevent our slipping and falling. They cleaned the grout in our Master shower and Hall tub, applied silicone and sealant, and painted the baseboard and wall near the tub. Aside from the work in the bathroom and shower, they replaced the screen in an exterior window, secured some areas in the garage ceiling with screws, and removed, painted and reinstalled our exterior shutters. During the early, uncertain days of the Pandemic when we were nervous to have anyone do remodeling inside our house, we asked Javier to do some work outdoors. He ordered a wood storage shed from Home Depot and it was delivered to our front yard without telling anyone. The DMV men unpacked the box and discovered some necessary parts were missing so returned to Home Depot to buy them. They leveled the slope in our backyard and set the foundation for the shed. Then they added shingles, windows, doors, and a ramp. They painted the outside of the shed and added a ramp, selecting a sturdier paint for the latter. They installed a screen all around the bottom edge of the shed to provide ventilation and keep the animals out. Finally they moved the items to be stored from our garage to the new shed, opening up more space in the garage for the remodeling of the 1st and 2nd floors of our house. The workmen skillfully disassembled and/or moved furniture, file cabinets, supplies, and 100s of books and other items to different locations in the house and garage. Then they installed new lighting: 53 recessed lights, 9 dimmers, and a new electrical outlet near the vanity. When a bookcase was added on the right side of my new digital organ they moved the organ to the left along with 2 recessed lights shining above the organ to more effectively illuminate the music rack. And finally they installed a special circuit breaker for the organ. They installed cabling for 3 internet connections to the computer network giving access to the basement, living room, and 2nd floor. They installed the wiring for electrical power to 3 printers, one on each floor. Next they replaced our carpet with beautiful hardwood floors in 7 rooms, a small hallway, and a stairway. They removed 5 single doors on the 2nd floor and replaced them with solid core doors. They installed and painted 2 bi-folding doors for our utility closets. They painted the walls in 7 rooms, a small hallway, and a stairway first removing wallpaper in one room and 2 wall borders. They took special care in the den, repairing one wall and a big hole in the ceiling before painting. They did a great job of painting the ceilings, touching up 4 textured ceilings and smoothing out 3 others in a more elaborate process that included repairing drywall and removing texture, preparing the ceiling for painting, and then actually painting it. They installed and painted shoe molding in 7 rooms. And last but not least they repaired bathroom door frame and painted the nearby wall and a baseboard that had some paint splotches from a previous job. The DMV workmen did some additional jobs not related to repairing and painting walls and ceilings, or installing hardwood floors. The installed 5 smoke detectors, 7 curtain rods, a new Bosch dishwasher, and new blinds to replace blinds accidently damaged. They caulked a bathtub, cleaned grout in a shower and caulked the area near its door. In order to prevent heavy bookcases from toppling over they secured 10 bookcases to the wall. And in a final visit they even tightened screws in the kitchen cabinets installed by the previous DMV contractor. The price seems reasonable because sometimes they did extra work not previously budgeted like extra painting or changes when were not satisfied or had new ideas. "-Excellent pricing -Great communication -Extremely talented contractors We contacted Home Breakthrough for a complete, down to the studs, remodel of our master bathroom. We couldn't possibly be happier with the work that they did, and their pricing was significantly better than the other quotes we received. Planning Phase: Within a day of contacting the company, Francisco came to our house to give us a quote. A day or two after that, once we elected to go with Home Breakthrough, he drew up the contract and set a date for us to pick out tile. Throughout the planning phase, Francisco and his coordinator Honika, were with us every step of the way. What was particularly helpful was that when we would pick a fixture that may not work for the space (our master bathroom is tiny), he would recognize it as an issue ahead of time, saving us time and money. He was also very keen on laying out different options for us in an effort to keep costs down. Construction: The team the company sent to do the work (Ismael and Ricardo) were amazing. Not only were they incredibly talented contractors, they were very respectful of our home. They cleaned up at the end of every day and were very cautious not to damage any walls or flooring during construction. Most importantly, they did BEAUTIFUL work. We have an old house, so there were numerous issues they had to work through, such as uneven floors, uneven walls, and shoddy plumbing and electrical. They were able to solve all these issues without problem, and the end result was absolutely stunning. Ismael and Francisco were really good about showing us exactly what was wrong, why it was a problem, and explaining how they would fix it. I'm no contractor, but I have done a good deal of framing, plumbing, electrical, etc in the past (most of my friends are in the trades). I can guarantee you that if this company tells you something is an issue that needs to be addressed, they are not trying to up-sell you. They know what they are talking about and they are really good about finding solutions to problems in the most cost effective way to you. You will not find a more honest company than Home Breakthrough. Once all the issues were solved, construction of our new bathroom went very quickly. We went with an ornate herringbone pattern for the tiles on one of the walls in our shower, which Ismael installed perfectly, despite needing to custom cut the majority of the tiles for that wall. The speed with which they finished up the project is a testament to the diligent prep work Ismael and Ricardo did ahead of time. They didn't even need to shim the cabinets or vanity! Even in new constructions you usually need to shim, but the walls and floor they installed were perfectly level and plumb. Final Thoughts: If you are looking to do a remodel, this is the company you want. The entire team was a pleasure to work with, we saved several thousand dollars going with them over another company, and our finished bathroom is literally perfect."

He helped us remodel our basement which required moving walls, installing luxury vinyl tile, painting, and installing new lighting. "Amazingly smooth and perfect for 3 main reasons. (FYI - LFC's services were from a referral from a co-worker) First, Tony, Uncle Meart, and their entire team could not have been easier to work with. They treated our house like it was their house. Our family like it was their family. They took care to keep the disruption of our daily routine to a minimum. Their workers were properly supervised each day and were respectful. They provided a detailed work schedule that was strictly followed and it was clear when payment installments were due. When there was a need to change the schedule, Tony provided a new work schedule within 2 days. We have never had such a good experience with a contractor. We plan to use them again and already have put them on projects with our family and friends. We were that satisfied and trust their services that much. Second, their work was spotless, professional and timely. Their team's workmanship was of high quality. Whenever something did not look right, it was immediately corrected. Tony or Uncle Meart reviewed all of the work done by their workers to make sure it was functional and looked good. It is obvious that they take pride in their work. It is refreshing in this day and age. As with any construction project, it lasted longer than predicted. However, it was only as much time as needed to have the project done well and to high standards. Third, they worked within our budget. Our repair/remodel was caused by a water leak while we were on vacation. It was devastating. The insurance company, was tough to work with. Trying not to cover certain damage. Tony was open and honest with this approach with us, and the insurance company. He spoke directly with the insurance company and with additional submittals was able to get them to cover a large percentage of the damage. This was because of his tenacity and calm manner in dealing with them. His financial costs were on par with "going rate." This gave us peace of mind and allowed us to focus more on the repair and not the insurance costs."

"We had just bought our first home, a fixer upper, and had no idea where to start first. We had a list of many projects we would need to do over time and a budget we had to stick to. Devin came to look at our house and listened to all of our wants and needs as we explained the ideas we had in mind. After discussing our options we decided to start with the least attractive room in house. It was a small room that had our washer and dryer in it. We had no space in the house for an eating table and only two small closets in the whole house. So, Devin and his staff turned the space into a beautiful sunny room big enough for a dining table and two much needed storage closets with shelving, one of which also stores our washer and dryer out of sight. Put a pocket door going into the bathroom which worked out great. Put new flooring in all rooms. We had them put a barn door going into the play room. Great job I love it. They put 5 new windows in the apartment. Painted all walls. Also redid my so called laundry room. Now it looks like a laundry room. Yea! New walls and floor. Krause Construction did an excellent job. They were very easy and courteous to work with and provided key input when needed for HVAC considerations. In addition, David provided good suggestions to enhance our finished basement plans prior to starting the work, including how we may be able to reroute some plumbing to enhance our celling height.
