"We had an addition put onto our house last year. There were endless delays, the project took much longer than estimated, and the equipment brought in tore up the yard and driveway. When cutting into the house the wall to my daughters bedroom and the living room were punched through and suffered water damage, which they magnanimously painted the one wall to cover. The yard and driveway were never addressed because it “isn’t part of the contract”. Hence, the outlet pipe for the sump pump was simply run about ten feet straight out from the house, a foot above ground. Speaking of which, the sump pump is pretty much UNDER THE BEDROOM FLOOR. The final straw for me was when I requested plain ceramic light fixtures in the closet, and was given shoddy, overpriced plastic fixtures, with the excuse being that the ceramic ones weren’t available anywhere. I’m not going to say that I was lied to, but it took me all of a trip to Walmart to find them, and replace them myself. When I presented the contractor with the cheap lights, I got a guilt trip about how he was going to have to eat the cost of them. Pity. Shortly after construction, I had an unrelated plumbing problem and contacted the plumber we used, and Apex demanded a cut before I could get the work done. Said it’s how he keeps his guys “loyal”. I ended up paying an extra $80ish for precisely nothing. So here I am, some 14 months later and still finding little problems cropping up and fixing them at my expense as they do. I’m not happy, but based on previous interactions, I guess ‘happy’ just wasn’t covered in the contract. To be fair, the overall construction is satisfactory I suppose. It looks nice and doesn’t creak in the high wind that we get here. The roof and windows don’t leak and the floors are solid, but on the other hand the walls and floor are cold as **** in winter (work was completed in summer, so who knew), and the pipes and air ducts are poorly (see also: not) insulated, which I didn’t even think was a thing. Hence, the entire section is more or less an icebox after November. Apparently I didn’t know enough to protect myself in this situation. Hindsight being 20/20, I would not use this company again."

"I usually don't take the time to leave many reviews, but I felt particularly compelled to leave a review for Ken and his team. We had several contractors come to take a look at what we needed. We had an old wall oven that sat under a counter top range. That oven broke and we could not replace it with anything similar so we ended up buying a single slide in unit. We needed the space cut out and rebuilt for this slide in unit. This required moving a gas line and installing a new electrical outlet (since the unit was duel fuel). This also required cutting out the existing cabinetry and our existing quartz counter top. Plus the actual installation of the unit. We had several contractors (over months) who either told us this couldn't be done or suggested to us that we replace our existing counter top completely. Ken came and did an estimate and felt fairly confident his team could accomplish this. They did amazing work and installed our new unit without any issues. I honestly thought we would need the help of several teams of people (plumber, electrician, etc) but by using Ken, he arranged and coordinated for all of the work to be done through his team, making this so much easier than we thought. The work was done quickly and efficiently so we weren't inconvenienced at all. In addition to the work, Ken was always punctual to all appointments. He was responsive to text and email inquiries and his team was very professional (from his adminstrative assistant, to the guys that came to the house). I will definitely be calling on them again, as we have an old house that always needs work done. I believe Home Experts are home builders and they can handle big remodel jobs as well. Overall I had a great experience with this company."

"From the initial consultation up to the work being completed Nick was an absolute pleasure to work with and we are very happy with the work he did in our kitchen. He is very skilled in his craft and wants to make the customer happy. He is very detail oriented and goes the extra mile to exceed expectations and even with just the addition of back splash his work truly transformed a boring kitchen into a room we love being in. After the initial consultation he helped us out by picking up all of the supplies and making sure we got exactly what we wanted and he was very upfront with the time frame and how much cost we were looking at. Nick did all of the work by himself and it only took him 2 days from start to finish. The first day he set the tile and the next he came and did the grout and replaced all of the electrical outlets. We look forward to working with Nick in the future on other projects that we are looking at and after this there is no reason to not have Nick as our go to guy. If you live in or around Indianapolis Nick is the absolute go to guy."

"Great work when it is done right, but some mistakes should not be made. To completely frame the whole build crooked and have to tear down and rebuild is ridiculous. I am still dealing with water leak issues from the build. There were other projects i had planned for them, but I have had a change of heart."
