Avi and David were wonderful; very thorough in explaining the process, answering all of our questions, and settling on a price that was reasonable and within our budget. During the building process, David was very responsive, available, and receptive to changes and last minute decisions made along the way. The project took longer than anticipated and there were some unexpected setbacks, but David and Avi worked quickly to fix issues and keep the project moving forward. At the end of the project they were very responsible about making sure we were satisfied with every last detail before completing the project. Our new home is beautiful and we're very happy with how it turned out, thanks to David and all the crews at So Cal Builders."

"Well, I am one of the "lucky" few that began a major kitchen remodel right before the Covid-19 pandemic, mid Feb 2020! After meeting with Golan and Aaron a couple of times at the end of 2019, I decided that H&A was the company to go with. They were forthcoming, passionate, energetic, fair priced, and full of ideas in term of my kitchen remodel. I had previously gotten a bid from an individual contractor which was lower than H&A, but what appealed to me about H&A over the individual contractor was that H&A is a "one stop shop", providing design (including 2-D and 3-D plans), permitting, planning, construction, inspections, etc. I was very nervous to begin the demolition, but, Golan & Aaron made me feel comfortable with the process. I was not only replacing floor, countertop, and appliances, but majorly reconfiguring the kitchen footprint, including losing a wall between the kitchen and the third bedroom. Golan was ON IT! His subcontractors were prompt, reliable, professional, and detail oriented, and they showed up at 8AM sharp EVERY SINGLE DAY. I was extremely impressed with the quality of workmanship! The counters! WOW! The backsplash, WOW! They matched into my 72 year old original thin plank red oak hardwood floors to integrate the kitchen remodel and it is SEAMLESS. One other feature I really liked with their bid was that, although they included the cabinets in their bid, all other finishes were up to me. So I could buy the backsplash/counter/appliances/flooring anywhere I wanted with no markup from H&A. The cabinet designer, Avi, that I met with was super flexible and had great ideas on how to maximize efficiency in my kitchen. He suggested features that I am SO happy with every day! All in all, the whole process was seamless and amazing, and ON TIME and ON BUDGET! During a PANDEMIC!!! What??!! I could not be more thrilled with my kitchen. I would absolutely recommend these guys to anyone looking for a one-stop-shop for remodel or home additions. YAY H&A!"

We were so impressed with our exterior home renovation they did a few years ago, that we contacted the company again when we were ready to remodel one of our bathrooms. "I honestly don’t know where to begin. Working with Mike and HIC Builders to remodel my kitchen and bathroom was an overall amazing experience with so many positives. It was my first time remodeling my house. There were so many aspects of concern and stress. From the very first meeting with Mike, he completely put me an ease, and talked to me in detail on what they could do and the approximate price point. Throughout the initial phase, I contacted and met with over 6 different companies, and of course, the estimates that I received were all over the map. HIC Builders estimate was very manageable and, best of all, precise. There weren’t any surprises at the end of the remodeling job. What Mike said on day 1 was exactly what it turned out to be. After my meeting with all the other companies, I was debating between Mike and one other company. At this point, I also decided to downsize my remodeling to save some extra money. The other company was immediately hesitant to take on the job now that their profits had shrunk, whereas Mike was the complete opposite. He went into revision mode and was quick to come up with an alternate plan that we could do now that my budget had changed. That really impressed me. His ability to maneuver and work with different financial circumstances while maintaining a high quality of work. It also showed me that he cared about my project, even after the scope of the work had become smaller. I now know he has many projects going on at any given time, but you wouldn’t have guessed it by the attention and excellent communication he provides. I never felt like I couldn’t reach out to him for questions (and I had many) or clarifications in each phase. For me, choosing the right contractor came down to trust. I was remodeling from out of town, so I couldn’t check in on the process on a constant basis. Mike kept me informed every step of the way and eased my anxiety if anything popped up. If an issue or potential issue came about, he would bring it up to let me know this or that happened, but then he would tell me that it was no problem to deal with, and provide a solution as how he planned to work around it. The entire process was always transparent and clear. I could go on and on about what sets HIC Builders apart, but I hope this gives you a snapshot on why they are the right contractors for the job. I have zero complaints and they went beyond my expectations. Best of all, the end result looks like a million bucks."

"We were delighted with our home renovations by Calwest Construction. They worked on two total bathroom remodels (on both raised and concrete foundations), including a complete renovation of a spare room. Sam and his team were always on time, kept things tidy throughout the renovation, professional and knowledgeable on all aspects of the construction process. They completed the entire project in a timely manner, and the only delays were due to materials/supply shortages. Overall, they were very respectful of our home and expertly executed our design vision with quality work and craftmanship. We definitely plan on hiring them again for future home projects."

"We just finished having our master bath remodeled by Golan. The workmanship is excellent.  We found them through Home Advisor, along with 3 other contractors. We interview with them all, got written quotes from 3, and chose Golan. The job was permitted and inspected. Jenny was our point person from Golan. She was very helpful and accommodating. My wife and I were responsible for procuring all the 'finish' items. Tile, fixtures including the shower valve, vanities, paint. All the rough in parts were provided by Golan.  From demolition to final inspection was just under 2 weeks. Aside from 6 people sharing one bathroom it wasn't too bad. If you are looking for a contractor for your remodel project give Golan a call."

"We received several good bids for the remodeling of two bathrooms, but Ortam delivered the best value by far. Design, materials and workmanship were excellent. Charlie and son Oran are a terrific team: Charles supplied passion, vision, and experience, while Oran brought a calm, confident high tech savvy to the job--his ipod pictures, emails, and website info all helped us visualize various possibilities. The crew was competent, cheerful, and reasonably neat. There were some snags along the way, but Charles worked through problems with us, fairly and honestly. He said from the start that we would love the results and we do."
