"If you need any stonework done (retaining wall, outdoor living areas, anything along those lines), I would highly recommend Tecton Stoneworks. In fact, I can't recommend them enough, as they did a great job for us. I hired them to replace a retaining wall along a drainage easement on the property and the work they did was exceptional. They demolished the old retaining wall (railroad ties from the 1990s), laid a footer, and put in the new wall with no problems at all. We decided to go with the less expensive option of using blocks for the retaining wall instead of utilizing the more decorative stone that would typically be used because this retaining wall is facing a drainage easement and curls around to a drainage ditch. They put capstones on the top of the wall, mortared everything in place, and added a lot of drainage which has already reduced the amount of standing water our yard retains after rain. Additionally, they put the fence posts inside the retaining wall which makes yard maintenance easier in years to come. And, above all, it looks good. Beyond just the quality of the work, Aaron was honest and upfront about the process. He was polite, respectful, explained anything I needed clarification on, and generally was a pleasure to work with. I am very glad that I hired them for this project."

"We had an overall great experience - we love our beautiful new patio and Luis and his team are a joy to work with. We showed Luis a photo of what we considered to be the perfect patio and he helped us make it our own, working within the bounds of our existing concrete and roof structure. We told him our desires for the various lighting needs and kitty/human comforts and he helped fill in the details. Luis has a clear, calm, and friendly approach to helping you develop your ideas. There were many times I was faced with a choice and Luis gave us just the right amount of guidance while still adhering to what he knew our overall vision was. When and wherever we needed to deviate from the plan (which was not often) Luis clearly communicated the reason behind the change - and I cannot recall a time where the reason was not a quality related concern - e.g. the odd positioning, slope and water drainage of our roof lead us to needing two gables instead of one. We tossed around some ideas and it worked out beautifully, better than our inspiration photo. Our few struggles along the way were mostly attributable to our newness to the process. We were a bit timid with our concerns, worried that we might offend if we became too "nit picky." Of course, Luis is a true professional and we learned we could be as forthcoming as we needed to be and he would accommodate us to the best of his ability. We interviewed 12+ contractors/firms for this project, large and small. Luis was far and away the best communicator. He was the only one to tell us we *must* verify whether there were post tension cables in our concrete before discussing a tear-out and re-pour. The others seemed to guess "yes" or "no" just by looking at it. We were impressed by Luis' caution and desire not to damage our home. Arbors and Patios wasn't the lowest bid, nor was it the highest. The highest bids were actually *way* higher, from firms that were offering 3D plans, detailed payment schedules, design managers and seemingly more "structure" (for lack of a better term) which apparently comes with quite a high premium. Our experience felt smaller by comparison, and more inclusive - we got involved, I painted swatches, learned all about french doors and gave specs for ordering right down to the divided lite spacer bar color (Luis handled the installation measurements). My husband and I spoke directly with the electrician, builders and painters and there were a few bad judgment calls on my part (wall and trim color choices, etc.) that needed to be redone. My husband is handy and did some quality control passes to make sure his standards were met. All of his notes were handled graciously by the team with little reiterating. My husband and I are in creative fields, so getting involved in what we see as the creative process felt natural and right for us...but others may feel that we were too hands on. I couldn't see us doing it any other way, we are a tad particular. Based on my research I know how easy it is for first-timers to be taken advantage of and have a horrible, costly experience that they regret. Arbors and Patios took care of us and we would sleep on our gorgeous patio if we could. I now wake up to a beautiful view through the french doors in my bedroom and say a little "thank you" every morning!"

Let me start off by saying, this is one of my first review I have ever given.  That said, I cant think of a better company to give this to.  I have dealt with several companies and contractors for various needs around my homes over the years and sadly, I have noticed the construction and home services industry has gotten increasingly worse with regards to customer service and quality of work.  So when a company comes through and then goes above and beyond, it is like Christmas morning as a kid! 

Well, that is what Pinckard Landscaping was for me.  We just moved into a home in late summer and you name the contractor and we had them here.  One of the bigger projects we took on, was to install landscaping in our backyard after our pool was completed.  In the process of our pool being built the back yard looked like a bomb had gone off.  So the first thing we did was hire a company to do the sod, once that was done, we were going to install a retaining wall, with a large flower bed complete with all plants, flowers, shrubs and trees.

The first company we hired was Xtreme Lawncare.  They installed, and I use the word lightly, sod and I knew it wasn't right.  I asked a few other people if they thought my sod was correct and the overwhelming answer was NO.  At this point I was back to square one.  That's when I found Pinckard Landscaping.  Not only did they redo my sod PERFECTLY, but I gave them the rest of my business and it turned out beautiful.  The next thing we needed was Christmas lighting, and sure enough, they do that as well.  Needless to say, our house looked amazing for the holidays.

Having said all of this, I want to lastly focus on the people at Pinckard Landscaping.  Its one thing to be good at what you do, but it is also equally important how you treat people that you work with.  This company is one of the few that I have dealt with that I felt like they actually cared how my project went and how we felt about it.

So, given how great this company is, I have since hired them for my ongoing lawn service as well.  Did I mention, they do everything?  :)
