"The estimate was provided by the Mr. Fix-It/Gutter Helmet salesperson.  He arrived on time and, like the other estimators, walked the house and then made his sales pitch.  We got four estimates total.  Two were very close (around $3000), one was lower but didn't offer solid gutter covers (instead they only carried perforated), and then there was the estimate from Gutter Helmet.  Approximately $6500 for what appears to be an identical product--same size, dimensions, composition, and concept of gutter performance.
The sales pitch was a little more high pressure than the others but not unusual.  There was a long video which I found slightly ridiculous--it is a gutter, I don't need a seven minute video on what gutters do. 
My biggest concern during the sales pitch came after the estimate.  It was a lot higher than I thought it should be based on my research so I asked if there were any discounts.  The sales person immediately knocked 20% off the price and indicated possible additional discounts could become available.  That tells me the estimate is inflated and they will work down until they hook a sale.
Given the subjectivity in pricing and the extraordinarily high estimate, I absolutely do not recommend this company.  They claim their product is the best--that is entirely possible.  I don't see how it could be worth twice the cost of another company's product.  We went with Carefree Gutter Guard and they did a great job, their product also carries a lifetime guarantee and costs less than half as much. 
I don't usually review estimates--just finished work.  This estimate was so ridiculous that I think it warrants notice.

"After worrying about these decks for 3 years, I finally got down to business and started getting estimates. I received 2 from Angies list and 2 from people who were recommended to me by others. I decided on one of the Angies list builders because I was very impressed with his experience and knowledge. Marshall Painter has been in the building business for quite some time and even after this project has been completed, I am convinced I made the correct decision. He and his workman were very focused and worked to complete this job in what I thought was record time for the size of the project. The workmanship was exceptionally fine. There were several "add-on's" I wanted and I'm so pleased I took their suggestions as they turned out better than what I had originally envisioned (that's why you hire a professional). They hauled off all of the old wood and left the work site immaculate. I have been able to entertain on these decks this summer and have received rave compliments and have passed his name on to friends.
