"Amazingly smooth and perfect for 3 main reasons. (FYI - LFC's services were from a referral from a co-worker) First, Tony, Uncle Meart, and their entire team could not have been easier to work with. They treated our house like it was their house. Our family like it was their family. They took care to keep the disruption of our daily routine to a minimum. Their workers were properly supervised each day and were respectful. They provided a detailed work schedule that was strictly followed and it was clear when payment installments were due. When there was a need to change the schedule, Tony provided a new work schedule within 2 days. We have never had such a good experience with a contractor. We plan to use them again and already have put them on projects with our family and friends. We were that satisfied and trust their services that much. Second, their work was spotless, professional and timely. Their team's workmanship was of high quality. Whenever something did not look right, it was immediately corrected. Tony or Uncle Meart reviewed all of the work done by their workers to make sure it was functional and looked good. It is obvious that they take pride in their work. It is refreshing in this day and age. As with any construction project, it lasted longer than predicted. However, it was only as much time as needed to have the project done well and to high standards. Third, they worked within our budget. Our repair/remodel was caused by a water leak while we were on vacation. It was devastating. The insurance company, was tough to work with. Trying not to cover certain damage. Tony was open and honest with this approach with us, and the insurance company. He spoke directly with the insurance company and with additional submittals was able to get them to cover a large percentage of the damage. This was because of his tenacity and calm manner in dealing with them. His financial costs were on par with "going rate." This gave us peace of mind and allowed us to focus more on the repair and not the insurance costs."

"I contracted with this company for a patio with pavers. They did a fantastic Job. I loved it so much that I asked them to do 3 sidewalks with the same pavers. Then I asked about my pool. I wanted something to make my above ground pool look appealing. With the suggestions made (absolutely no pressure, just ideas) I ended up having a deck built on. It is a 32 x 10 deck with a Pergola in the center. It is beautiful. Because this was so awesome and the quality of work was fantastic, we now have the Fascia board on our house replaced with an addition of Soffits. It is beautiful and maintenance free. This company will be installing new gutters this week. 7th State Builders do it all. Their motto is If you can dream it, we can build it. This is so very true. I love All of the work and the crews are polite and clean up completely when finished with each job. I will be having a new addition built soon."

"J&R Chavez Landscaping showed up on time with 5 workers to carry out 8 (prepaid) labor hours of cleanup that I paid for online at Angie's List. Mr. Chavez walked the property with me and was polite and accommodating. It appears that the company attempted to carry out most of my instructions (i.e. weeding, removing rose bushes, and of course removing leaves and other debris). The front of the property looks good. The back of the property looks better than it did before, but unfortunately I am disappointed with some of the cleanup. When I came home I found that there were still patches that had more than a few leaves, weeds, sticks, or other debris. I live on 0.1 acres of property. My expectations for 8 labor hours (and 5 workers) in such a small space is that they will have the time or manpower to thoroughly remove what I requested. If a crew runs out of time, I would expect them to work more than the prepaid hours for an additional hourly fee to complete the job. However, I never asked Mr. Chavez about this possibility because it never occurred to me that a professional crew might go over the allotted time. So it may be my fault that parts of the property look rushed. The left side of my back yard still has leaves scattered, some weeds in places, and some other debris. The right side is much cleaner, but has leftover plant debris lying next to the patio or pathway that absolutely should have been picked up. When I compare my backyard lawn to my neighbor, who did the cleanup himself, his property is noticeably cleaner. Lastly, the company agreed to remove/haul everything away for an additional $80 fee, which I agreed to pay. It was not until later that I saw on Angie's List that the company charged a different customer only $50 for the same service. Again, that is my fault for not doing my homework beforehand. But it's never nice to find out you overpaid."
