"I was really worried I would have to go a few days or even a week without cool air, but I called Dayco Systems that my friend recommended and I'm SO glad I did! They came out right away, after hours and fixed the unit. I highly recommend this company!"

"Our central air conditioning unit stopped working on a weekday afternoon and the indoor temperature quickly rose to 85 degrees. I called Ragsdale's emergency service after hours. A real person took my information and a service tech called me back within 20 minutes to say that he would be at my house that night. He showed up on time and was courteous and very professional. My unit is 18 years old and had not been cleaned in several years. The tech replaced the capacitor and fan motor, added coolant, cleaned the coils, checked pressure and performed several tests. Repair and clean up took about 90 minutes. He explained to me what he was doing on each step, told me the available repair options and their costs, and gave me pointers on how to spot a faulty unit. Our A/C now blows out colder air than prior to repair. I was very happy with the service and would definitely hire them again."

"I hired Top Quality to remedy a specific problem I was having that was causing me serious health issues. Although my home is only 3 yrs old I started having breathing issues that was affecting my health. Jeremyâ s crew came out and took care of the obvious problem but upon more research he determined there were other areas in my air system that may cause further issues. The problem was getting to these areas . He told me he was not a miracle worker but he would do his best to solve this issue. All I can say is he and his crew are miracle workers! They took care of a very complex problem that went above and beyond the normal scope of HVAC service. Thank you Jeremy and crew for taking care of this problem! I highly recommend this company! They went above and beyond what I was expecting!"

They immediately got to work with removing the old window mounted air conditioner unit which needed to be replaced and installed the new air conditioner. The whole process only took about one hour. A very professional and communicative team. The new air conditioner is working great. We’ll be requesting these guys again for any annual maintenance required for the window a.c. unit. Thank you ASSA MECHANICAL SERVICES LLC. Arthur"

"Adam and team installed a new HVAC system for me. From start to finish, they were prompt, professional, courteous, efficient. After diagnosing the problem, Adam took the time to explain the issue and lead me through all the potential solutions. Installation went flawlessly. Most professional HVAC technicians require two to three hours to complete an expansion valve replacement. The timeframe depends on your unit's accessibility and whether additional repairs are needed. The process involves recovering refrigerant, removing the old valve, installing the new component, and recharging the system. Scheduling during less busy seasons may result in more convenient appointment times.
Operating your air conditioner with a malfunctioning expansion valve isn't advisable. Continuing to run the system could potentially damage other components, particularly your compressor, which is significantly more expensive to replace. If you notice performance issues like inconsistent cooling or unusual noises, it's best to have your system inspected before continuing regular use.
Expansion valves don't have a standard replacement schedule, as their longevity depends on system usage, maintenance frequency, and environmental factors. Regular professional maintenance helps identify potential valve issues before they cause system failure. Having your HVAC system serviced annually allows technicians to monitor component condition and recommend preventative replacements when necessary.
Refrigerant leaks require prompt professional attention. If your expansion valve is leaking, you'll likely notice reduced cooling performance and possibly hear hissing sounds near the unit. Addressing leaks quickly prevents further system inefficiency and avoids the environmental impact of released refrigerant. Your HVAC technician will need to repair the leak and recharge the system with the proper refrigerant type and amount.
Because many AC issues present similar symptoms, professional diagnosis is recommended. Problems like inadequate cooling, inconsistent temperatures, or strange noises could indicate expansion valve issues, but might also stem from refrigerant leaks, electrical problems, or airflow restrictions. A qualified HVAC technician has the tools and expertise to accurately identify the root cause and recommend appropriate repairs.
