"My technician, Lily, was right on time. It was her first time to my home and she was very friendly and informative. She explained what went wrong and also showed me how to maintain some things through my routine maintenance. My service call involved a charge as it was Service, labor plus Freon to be added to my unit and the outside unit's battery. Since I have a contract with McCrea, I was not charged for the part that was to be replaced on my unit. My house is slowly cooling down as it was 90 degrees inside my home when she arrived this morning. My house lost the air conditioning on the Fourth of July and on a very hot day. I would highly recommend McCrea Heating and Air Conditioning Services of PA."

We are a small family owned Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) company located in Sharpsburg, MD. The business was started in 1989 under the name of RW Harrell's Pump Service Inc. when Diane Harrell and Ronnie Harrell purchased a well pump and water system business from a gentleman that was retiring. Ronnie had worked in the HVAC field from the time he had graduated from high school so it was natural to add HVAC to the services that this new company would offer. "After I was scheduled for the next day, the owner of the company contacted me to reschedule for the same day. I got three technicians out to check out my system, which needed an air filter change. Filter change complete, they tested the pressure of my system which checked out well. All it cost was for a service call. Great response and service."

"Last year, I asked this company to come take a look at a heat pump I had at a rental unit in Gettysburg. One of their technicians came out and according to my tenants, was there for less than a half hour. He recommended replacing the heat pump (which also requires replacing the inside air handler according to them). I was invoiced for this visit, and then contacted by the sales team. I talked with someone on their sales team about pricing, and they gave me fair and competitive prices on the inside and outside units. They did walk me through several options and were able to meet my time frame since I had tenants without AC in the hottest month of the year. Before spending thousands of dollars, I asked a friend of the family for a second opinion. He was able to repair the heat pump for under $350 in parts and labor. I paid him $500 for his work (since he saved me thousands!). I contacted Holztople's owner about my experience. They cancelled the invoice for the service call and sent me a certificate for $100 on a future service (which is great customer care in my opinion). It seems like they would be great to work with on a new installation. Be cautious with any tech from any company. Make sure they do their due diligence before they try to turn you over the the sales team. The heat pump is running fine almost a year later, and I have not needed to use the $100 gift certificate."

"I needed my carpet repaired because my dog made a hole in it. So I used Angie’s list to make some calls. I called on Thursday and they were able to come in the next day to check it out. The service provided was efficient and the workers were punctual. I can’t even tell that there was ever a hole in my carpet. I also liked that they were nice and friendly when I talked to them. I would definitely recommend them to others."
