"Called in these folks for a recurring problem with our 2nd floor AC unit leaking freon. Other vendors had investigated, but we had not yet come up with a consensus on the diagnosis. Very nice, very professional. First visit was unable to produce any insight, but I felt due diligence was quite thorough. A second appointment was setup to run a more thorough regression test. Unfortunately, it too was inconclusive. I felt they had done everything they could to diagnose a very tricky issue. Their final prognosis was that it had to be one of a couple of very rare and odd possibilities. Didn't feel too comfortable with this, but had no basis to argue. Total cost at this point between the two visits was $300 with no real progress. Eventually, we stumbled upon an excellent veteran AC repairman who investigated and confirmed an earlier hunch, and was able to explain why. We hired him to fix the problem, a leaky compressor coil (had to replace), and we've have never had a problem since. Now that we know what the issue was, I'd have to say I'm fairly disappointed with this vendor's performance. They firmly disputed the compressor coil as a possible cause. And we paid a decent amount of cash for this misdiagnosis. We'll stick with the guy who eventually fixed the problem as our AC repairman from here on out.

"I was impressed with Raymond’s professionalism and knowledge and expertise relating to heating and air-conditioning. I asked a lot of different questions and he was kind enough to take several minutes to answer my questions and explain additional information to me so that I could make an informed decision. We decided to move forward with installing a second zone for the second floor in our two-story home, and Raymond was able to schedule the work within the week. Raymond was prompt and showed up at the times he said he would and completed the work in a professional manner. He put down tarps over our carpet so his trips in and out of the house did not cause any issues for our carpets. "I had originally called another company when my AC started blowing warm air. They came out and checked the unit. They found that the coolant and Circuitry were fine. They next checked the blower. Afterwards, the tech told me what he thought the problem was, but it would cost $1400 to find out. Then I called Blanton. Eddie came out and checked the coolant and circuitry, which were fine. He then checked the blower. After he took the panel off it took him about 3 seconds to find the problem. A switch had shorted causing the heat coils to come on. Essentially, the unit was trying to heat and cool at the same time. He replaced the switch, cleaned the blower fan, the coils, and serviced/cleaned the outside units all for less than what the other tech thought the problem was. I will Continue to use them in the future."

"ARS did a very good job installing my air conditioning unit. They took the time necessary to move a piece which was in the way of installation. Then it was put back in the appropriate manner and when a part didn't work, they rigged it to work until the part could be replaced. The part was replaced the next day and the AC works as it should."
