"This is part two of a review for NRG Heating and Air Conditioning. The first evaluation was written as a complaint for a job completed but one that did not follow the all of the stipulations of the contract. This review is written to thank the individuals from NRG who took the first evaluation to heart and then dispatched a team to fix the areas of concern. I am delighted to report that the work completed today was done per the contract. Not only was the barrier wall built between the two condo units as originally promised, the attic was insulated with the additional blown in material, the old attic door sealed and caulked, pictures taken, and the area left clean and tidy. I am most grateful to the general manager, the quality control manager, as well as the insulators who made sure the job was finished per the original contract. NRG should be recognized as a company that not only took the time to read a customer service review but then acted, in a timely manner, to resolve the issues addressed in the complaint. I am most grateful for NRG's time and willingness to take responsibility for and to complete a job as promised. Thank you!"

"They sell to you a filter to your furnace that is metal that is supposed to be a strong benefit over the throw away kind. This is kind of controversial. You have to take it out and hose it down. I stopped using it on the advice of my air conditioning installer."

Since I can do most of my services remotely with you over the phone, I am hoping to eventually open up to larger markets and help people from having to take their computer in to get it fixed, if it has internet access, I can usually fix it over the Internet. Just trying to do more to help my Angies List customers!!******** I am a sole proprietor that works out of my home. I am my only employee, but I have over 20 years experience fixing computers, and providing superior customer service. I work on a flat rate service, and don't charge by the hour because I feel it's important to educate the customer on what the issue is/was, and how to avoid it in the future. I feel that local service companies (my competition) have been overcharging customers for years. I offer a first time customer discount of 10% but I will offer 15% off for first time customers referred by Angies List. I've lived in the Huntsville area most all my life, so I know the area very well. I will never use a subcontractor as I am very picky about making sure that if my name and company is associated with something, it will be the best experience my customer has ever had, and using sub contractors won't ensure that, so I prefer to do all the work myself. Lastly, I should point out that I am a former offensive lineman for the University of Southern Mississippi and was Brett Favre's center his freshman year at Southern. I went on to play for Tom Landry in his last year, but gave up pro football early on to pursue my passion of fixing computers. If I didn't have bills to pay, I would do this for free because I love it! If you have a computer problem, I promise you that you couldn't find a better technician that will care about you as a customer, and not about the bottom line. I am always available, but don't always answer my phone, but if you leave a message, I promise to back with you as soon as possible...and figure out how to get your issue resolved in a quick, efficient and economical manner. "I called America's Best through Angie's List to find out if this company services my area. They said that they did. I selected them based on the excellent reviews they received. I normally compare companies, as I did last year when needing exterior house painting and rain gutter application, but because most other companies near my area only solicited a couple of reviews, I decided based on the price and professionalism of the person answering the phone, I would have them come out. I wasn't sure what windows needed re-screening, but none of my screen frames were fitting properly in my windows. Most screens had wear and tear as my house is 20 years old. Three screens were missing. And I live in an area that has dairies and the flies kept coming into the house through the ill fitting screens and holes.  America's Best set up a day for the following week, and on July 10, I was greeted by Jose and Jaime, who both were extremely punctual and friendly. Jose took me around the exterior of my home and we went over screen replacement. He showed me how the screens were put on the wrong way (never had a professional company come out before, so it could have been incorrectly screened by the builders, or my husband) and that is why the frames were not fitting securely in the windows. He was able to save most of my screens and just re-screen them. 3 frames were completely missing, so  Jose built  new ones utilizing my driveway. The main front windows frame was really bent and since I use that window a lot, I asked him to replace it. Jose and Jaime removed all my screens. Jaime came inside and proceeded to wash the inside of my windows. Jose washed the outside. My windows sparkled. I could not believe how they were able to get them that clean. They then went about re-screening my original window frames (the ones that were still good), and replacing missing frames with new ones. The screen material looks really nice. The frames are nice. I cannot believe how great my windows look now, and the screens are fitting so nicely in my windows that not a single fly or mosquito can get through! I forgot how it felt to open up all my windows and let the fresh air just flow through the house. It will certainly save on my electric bill. Money well spent. I will use this company again. I told Jose that I will have them come out every year to clean my windows. They are the best!"

"We had several issues that caused us to contact a company that can come over and check our house for any problem that can be solved and reduced our utilities bills. We contact this company and we asked them to come over and see what they can do. Avi came over and explained to us how they work and what they do in order to determine what can be done. The initial work included sealing all the openings in the house and then they made some tests with special machine that made a clear picture that our air conditioning system have some leaks that causing the system to work extra time. After they completed the testing, Avi came over with another crew of workers and fixed the ducts making sure that there will be no more leaks from that area. The work that they did was good because they made a massive testing before they came to the conclusion about the air conditioning ducts.

"What I didn't like, I hadn't had any other problem in my house until I had an air conditioning problem.  While, they did take care of fixing most of the stuff with the air conditioning.  I did have to pay for the coolant that went into it, that was kind of aggravating, since you  know you are already going to pay a $60-$80 service charge for something and the you turn around and think you are covered and find out there are gaps of coverage.  We'll fix the part and pay for the labor but everything else is on you.  I think outside of price all the categories are an "A".  For price I'd give it a "C", because it's not like you are getting complete coverage.  I'd use them again if I needed to, I'd definitely consider it."
