"Successfully repaired a Whirlpool upright freezer that was not freezing. Ace Appliance Pro called in less than an hour after I registered with Angi, and was at our house less than half an hour later to figure out what was wrong with our six-year-old freezer. I was prepared to buy a new one (which would fit better into our kitchen), but our "Pro" advised me that for less than half the cost of a new freezer, this one would last another five to eight years. And in less than an hour he replaced the whatchamacallit and fix the frizamabob (those are the technical terms), and our ice cream will remain solid. And he was nice to have around and did not mind us watching what he did and asking questions. Definitely will call Ace when the next appliance goes on the fritz. UPDATE: The repair threw the circuit breaker for our freezer and refrigerator. I called Moe and he was at our house within 20 minutes. He checked everything and concluded that it was the new part that was causing the problem -- and that many more repairs would be needed to make the freezer work. He gave us back our check, and told us we'd be better off buying a new freezer. While I wished we had not had the freezer go out (making peach cobbler now with the defrosted peaches, which thankfully were the only things we lost), I respected Ace's commitment to doing the right thing. I'd use him again, comfortably."

"Seconds after I posted a job estimate request in Angie's List, I received a phone call from Kay at Smart Appliance Pro. My issue was a washing machine which wouldn't drain or spin. My initial strategy was to check some YouTube washer repair videos where I sought a solution to no avail. Even though it was a Sunday, Kay assured me that a tech would arrive before the end of the day. Indeed this happened! Mo diagnosed that the issue was a faulty drain pump for our stacked system (dryer on top and washer on bottom). He provided an estimate and we decided to go ahead based upon the initial prognosis. He proved to be correct and 2 days later after acquiring the needed part, he and Khader returned to finish the job (Khader was needed to help lift down the dryer). While Mo replaced the pump, Khader cleaned out an internal filter and within an hour, all was fixed and we are happily back washing and drying clothes again. THANKS!"
