"Basement project: We met with Eric and he was our point person for the whole project. He and his team couldn't have been better. We were ripped off by another contractor a few years prior to this so to say we were gun shy was an understatement. Eric definitely made us feel comfortable with the whole process. The 2 guys who came in to do the carpentry did an excellent job, always included us on decisions, cleaned up after themselves, and were very personable. The quality of work was better than we could have ever imagined and the space looks awesome. They had to do some demo and redid a wall, added shelves and laid a floor. They stayed on track and on schedule and we felt the price quoted was fair and worth every penny.

The second project was exterior about a year later. We needed so panels replaced and repainted. Once again, on time and cleaned up after themselves.

Its hard to find a contractor to begin with and one that is honest and takes pride and cares about their work is a gem. We'll definitely use them again.

Before starting, Bob offered several options on how to install the material, which we then discussed, before agreeing on one. The work was done correctly and efficiently. "I have used Mr. Handyman (Central MetroWest) on many occasions over the years. Jobs have ranged from small (installing a dishwasher) to major (a full bathroom gut/remodel), and anywhere in between (replacing all interior doors, rebuilding a front stoop, repairing rotted siding, etc.) I could not have been happier with their service every time. Jon has been the consummate professional - friendly, polite, conscientious, always on time, leaves the site clean, explains everything he's doing, and most importantly, does great work. He made a concerted effort to stay on budget/on time for the bathroom remodel and kept me apprised of progress and issues throughout each day. An added bonus is having a professional office staff that is always there to answer the phone, keep you abreast of when the technicians will arrive, and follow up to make sure the work is satisfactory. Is Mr. Handyman the cheapest option out there? Probably not, since it is based on an hourly rate. However, pricing is not unreasonable, and for that you get high quality, reliable service. To me, that is well worth the cost. I've learned the hard way over the years that you generally get what you pay for. (Cheaper is not always better!) I highly recommend Mr. Handyman of Central MetroWest and will continue to use them for all of my home repair needs."

"Bertie was recommended to us by a friend for some work that he completed in Jamaica Plain. We recently built a 2nd floor on our cape in Milton and needed walls and ceilings in three bedrooms, a bathroom, and a hallway and stairwell. Bertie was prompt with his bid and was extremely flexible with his start date. He was finished with the entire job in less than four days, which was incredibly impressive. In addition, part of the demolition included tearing down two walls on the first floor and a strip of drywall by the front door. Without asking, Bertie fixed those as well and included them in the price. Furthermore, we are installing a pocket door and need to wait for that before drywall goes up, plus our plumber needs access to the shower before the durock goes up, and Bertie has already committed to helping us with those issues as soon as they are ready. I would absolutely hire Bertie again in a second if the need ever arises again."

"I kept Marco abreast of the progress of the house purchase. About five weeks before closing  (a Friday), I called him and asked when he could start. He said he thought he would be able to start on the Monday or Tuesday after closing, but it might possibly not be until Wednesday.  I though great, he'll probably get there that week. He and the crew were there Monday!  Typical Marco- a master scheduler. This entire job took 7-8 weeks, and during that entire time I can't think of a day when his crew and/or his subcontractors weren't on the job. He clearly has an good relationship with his subs- they were always there when needed, often on Saturdays and even on Sundays.
The job was on a tight budget to begin with, and ran into some major unexpected expenses.  Marco understood my financial position, and he and his crew knew how to maintain a decent level of quality but still move at high speed.  When the unexpected expenses appeared, he still kept costs down. Is the level of finish perfect in all the details? No- but I got a whole lot for the money.  I've no doubt that if I had the money, and asked for really clean finish work,  they would deliver that at an excellent price. . I do know that all the guts of the house are very good quality- wiring, plumbing, insulation etc- you don't want to cut corners on these, and Marco would never would. Several times when I was leaning toward some cheaper option, Marco would advise against it so I would end up having to redo it in 5 or 10 years- excellent advise.
I counted on Marco to handle a lot of decisions that most home owners make themselves- lighting fixtures, paint and tile choices, etc. So many times I'd be at work worrying about what something was going to look like next time I was there; then when I did get there, I'd think, Oh! that looks great! Letting him make the choices allowed him to get good materials at the right price.
You can trust Marco to treat everyone fairly- you, his crew, and his subcontractors. When everyone happy, the job speeds along, and the cost is kept down. Count yourself lucky if you have him on your next job.
