"We had a deteriorated garage: called two other carpenters and they took a look, turned around and ran. Found Brian on the Web and he came promptly, told us he like rehabbing older structures, and did a fine job replacing rotted or missing slats, replacing structure on its foundation so that it was balanced again, working out extremely reasonable, considerate schedule for payments. He and his men were mannerly and thoughtful in every respect; he even made improvements in the internal organization of the garage, such as moving ladder holder from higher to lower position on the wall for enhanced safety. "From the initial visit by Sergiy to consult on my needs and provide an
estimate through the final installation of the windows, Alliance
provided top-notch service.
There were a number of special issues:
1. They replaced five basement windows with rotted wooden frames
that were original to the 100+ year old house. They built new frames
for all those windows.
2. They replaced windows on an enclosed porch with rotted
sills--installing new wooden sills. There they took special care not to
damage a trumpet vine growing adjacent to the windows.
3. They removed  a garden window with extensive carpenter ant
damage and replaced it with a sliding window, taking special care not to
damage a 100-year-old grape vine growing adjacent to the window.
4. When they realized that our 30-year-old window air
conditioner would not fit in the new window, they agreed to install the
new 128-pound air conditioner we bought and carted the old one away.
The installers arrived right on time and worked throughout two full days
in uncomfortable hot and humid weather  to complete the project.
Everything was done professionally, and there were no surprise extra
charges.

"I called for an estimate, and he came over right away to have a look at the job. He gave me a quote the next day and was able to do the work the day after that. He ended up doing a little more than I originally planned, but I'm glad it worked out that way because he did a way better job than I could ever have done myself. When there was a small problem due to some ancient undercoats of who knows what, he came right back and spent two more hours fixing it. The result looks great. Gary is really personable, dependable and very reasonable."

"I couldn't be happier with Joe and his crew.  From first contact and the time we met to get an estimate I could tell right off the bat he knew exactly what he was talking about, and was very professional about everything.  I met with 2 other contractors, and even though Home Facelifters wasn't the cheapest, I knew that they would get the job done right and on time.  They dealt with all of the city inspectors and dealt with pulling all the permits, they helped me pick out many of the different items for the house like the cabinets, counters, appliances, flooring, and even colors for the walls.  There were some things that I thought I wanted a certain way but Joe was always willing to try and explain why another way might be better, which I do appreciate.  The payment process was very simple, we did go over our original estimate, but he had told me upfront there was a chance we would find things behind the walls that we couldn't predict, and I was prepared to possibly go over by a certain amount so that wasn't a problem.  The work was done very quickly, and the quality of everything is great.  I will definitely be using Joe and his crew on future projects of mine.
