"They did an excellent and clean job. The price is awesooome!!! I started by doing the ceiling and ended up remodeling other places in my home. I gave the contact information to my office maintenance manager and he was delighted with the work they did on the ceiling at my job."

"Excellent, had to build wall on either side of the door in the garage. Also put in a double hung window in bedroom. Looks like it had been part of the house forever. At end of job all clean up was done. You would never know any work was done. House cleaner after job than before. All trash removed. Extremely happy with this company. I definitely would use again."

"We found the Meticulous Handyman through Angi and couldn’t be happier with the experience. After multiple unsuccessful attempts by other contractors to fix our storm door, Kristy and Cal immediately identified the real problem and made the correct repair. The door has never worked better! They also diagnosed and resolved an issue with our kitchen sink drain. Beyond their excellent workmanship, Kristy and Cal have been incredibly responsive and true to their word, qualities that are rare to find. Highly recommend them for any home repair needs!"

"We were very pleased with the entire re-roofing project completed by Coastal Construction & Contracting Services LLC. Frank, the owner, worked closely with us throughout, being thorough in his initial assessment in measurements of the roof, ordering roofing materials, explaining the process, etc. Because our existing roof underwent storm/wind damage, Frank even helped coordinate with our insurance company's adjuster, who also inspected the roof. We found Frank's proposal to be quite fair as compared to that of other contractors with whom we had consulted. Roofing materials were ordered and delivered as scheduled and the project was begun on time. Under Frank's supervision, it was completed in a timely manner. The work crew performed in a conscientious, professional manner. We found them to be on time and reliable. The entire area was thoroughly cleaned up upon completion of their work. Based upon our very positive experience, we would wholeheartedly recommend Coastal Construction & Contracting Services to our friends and neighbors. In fact, they had previously completed work on the house directly across the street from ours, and we would think that several of our neighbors will be interested in utilizing their services as well."

"I purchased a two bedroom condo in Cape May in October 2015, It needed a complete renovation. New kitchen, bathroom, flooring, doors, etc. Living in Yardley, Pa I was not familiar with contractors in south Jersey. Scott was one of many I interviewed. He gave me a great estimate and a positive feeling about his work. I can't say how thrilled I am with the end result. Managing this project from two hours away was not a problem because of Scott. He stayed in constant contact with me, sending pictures of progress and making very useful suggestions. He's a professional and talented craftsman with a great crew. Thank you Scott and crew for making my piece of the Jersey shore something beautiful that I will enjoy for many years to come."

A drop ceiling is a type of secondary ceiling that is dropped down below the actual ceiling of a room, hence the name. It’s made up of ceiling tiles (made of fiberboard, foam, wood, metal, or plastic) supported by a metal grid. The space between the drop ceiling and the structural ceiling can be used to hide wiring, pipes, and HVAC ducts.
Most drop ceiling installations take about two to three days, including the time needed to build the grid frame, install it, and place each ceiling tile properly. Your installation might take more time if you need to modify plumbing, HVAC ducts, or electrical wiring to accommodate the new ceiling.
Most drop ceilings require a clearance of at least three inches from the structural ceiling, though you’ll likely need more than that to make space for pipes, ducts, lights, fans, sprinklers, or wiring. In many places, building codes require a minimum ceiling height of seven feet, which can limit the amount of clearance you’ll have between your drop ceiling and structural ceiling.
Yes, you can paint a drop ceiling, but it’s not always recommended. Painting a drop ceiling can sometimes void your warranty because using improper paint or technique can cause the tiles to sag. Paint can also negatively affect the fire resistance, soundproofing, and light reflection of the panels. Consider these downsides before taking on ceiling painting costs.
