After we came to a mutual agreement, I appreciated the way he structured our contract to include progress payments based on the completion of various work phases and not on specific dates. He remodeled my kitchen by performing many tasks such as tearing out the old kitchen; installing new flooring, cabinets; LED can lights, a new garbage disposal, an over-the-range microwave oven, and backsplash; building floating shelves; relocating a ceiling fan; and re-connecting all appliances. When challenges arose because of a faulty design by another firm, Rob was quick to provide thoughtful alternative methods to overcome the design flaws. He worked diligently throughout the process, rarely stopping to eat lunch. Finally, when the work was completed, Rob did a fantastic job of removing machine dust from the exterior of the cabinets, the backsplash, large appliances, and the flooring. "We live in an older home, built in 1947. After much research we decided to make the switch from regular paint to the newer, more permanent coating style of paint. We selected Hoosier Permanent Coatings as our supplier  last October---and weather turned against us before  we could get the job completed last year. Hoosier Permanent Coatings, held our price for 2014 and stayed in touch with us as the weather began to warm in the spring (this year) to get us on the schedule at a time that was convenient for us. In addition we had significant window repair and replacement being done (by another contractor) that had to be coordinated along with the painting job. In short I cannot say enough good things about Hoosier Permanent Coatings (HPC) and particularly their Office Manager, Rosemary. While I was having serious challenges with the window contractor, HPC was with us every step of the way. When it finally became time for them to do their job---they arrived on time, worked extremely long days, all with great care, and did the most beautiful job!  Rosemary communicated regularly regarding what would happen each day...and that's exactly what happened. Their crew supervisor (I forget his name)--was terrific as well. Very respectful and professional. Everyone of the crew was thoughtful and courteous. A manager came by the job each day--to be sure I was satisfied and to see if I had any additional questions.

"It went great. Eric was present when the insurance adjuster came to check it out and he worked with her to get us as much money as possible. Insurance only paid for the ceiling water stain removal and attic work, but not for roof replacement because roof problem was not from wind or hail, etc.
The work needed 3 contractors - Roof guys, mold remediator and Painter. We got quotes form 2 other companies, but decided to go with Eric due to several reasons - local business, he himself is the owner; the price, which was better than the other 2 companies; his ability to get the whole job done in 2.5 days during the snowy month of Jan-Feb. The roof guys worked in coordination with the Mold remediator and they finished that part in 1.5 days. The painter came another day and finished the interior work in that day. With the other companies, they were only able to do 1 or 2 of the things and we had to get the painter by ourselves.
The whole team did a great job. They cleaned up the yard completely.
We are still waiting on the paperwork - final receipts, the certificates for insurance purposes, though."

"It was a small job. They sealed the vents to the crawlspace, then, since there was already solid insulation panels on the walls, put a vapor/moisture barrier, in the form of a tarp, 4 feet wide and as long needed, completely around the crawlspace. It was then sealed to the walls with "nails" and adhesive. This seals the wood frame of the house from the 'Outside", the ground, which is the floor of the crawlspace. A 20 mil thick, quite heavy, "floor" was installed, also in the form of a tarp, It went up the walls about 3 feet and was taped to the 'tarp" on the walls, using a tape made for this application. The piers were wrapped with the same stuff and taped to seal the inside from the outside. the "floor" is also a vapor/moisture barrier, but, heavy enough to walk on if needed. This basically makes the crawlspace another room, rather than the outside. Our house is one year old and was already getting mold on the floor joists. Since the air in the crawlspace will now be heated in the winter and cooled in the summer, just like the rest of the house, the mold and cold (52 degrees) floors we experienced last winter will hopefully be eliminated. We shall see when dumb winter gets here."
