"This is the second project Tom Watson and Finishing Touch Landscape has done at our home in Ballwin. They replaced an approximately 70ft long, 3.5ft high retaining wall along our driveway. It was a very messy project - the weather was horrible. However, they completed the work within a week and the finished project looks amazing - it is a sturdy, professional looking wall that has greatly enhanced the curb appeal of our home. The project also solved some significant drainage issues we were having with water leaking from the old wall across our driveway. We are very pleased with the work. Tom is a pro. We will use him again."

"Shawn and his guys do amazing work. From the first time I met him, I knew he was honest and professional in what he does. There was a problem with flooring issue during the job and he fixed it for me. Just today, I had an issue with my doors sticking and he came to fix it. He is a stand up guy for sure. I would recommend his work to anyone if you are looking for a high quality product at a great price!"

"The company does high quality work. I recommend negotiating with MidTown to get a lower price than what they initially offer. Their initial quote was high in my opinion but we came to an agreeable price after days of discussion. The quality of their work was A+ which includes their assistance with material/color selection, countertop installation, plumbing including replacing shower valves, faucets, and toilets."

"They did a top-notch job with top-notch materials. The trade-off, most expensive bid but with the best warranty. Should have left the site and deck 100% (they did 90%) clean when done."

"I purposely delayed writing this review until we had used the remodeled bathrooms and laundry room for a time. The work was exceptional and no major issues have arisen. Mikey and Jacob are excellent craftsmen and the work shows their pride in doing an excellent job. The cabinets are great, the closet doors that were custom made to accommodate the unusual sizes were also done well, and we love, love the Onyx countertops, shower stall, and bathtub walls. The plumbing was done correctly and no issues have been discovered. There are 3 minor issues that need to be resolved but they do not impact the overall function of the rooms. We will recommend this company."

Customers say: Super punctual
"Dave's guys did a quality job and were very responsive to the limited time I had to do the job. I first used County Remodeling over 17 years ago for a kitchen remodel. Since then we have used them to remodel our bathroom, living room, and dining room. They always do quality work at a reasonable price. I highly recommend them for just about anything needed to be done around your house."

Butcher block countertops come in three main styles, each offering a unique look and function. Flat grain, also known as face grain, showcases the natural wood patterns, giving your kitchen a modern and elegant appearance. Edge grain is made from long, narrow wood strips, making it sturdy and providing a consistent grain pattern. End grain features a checkerboard pattern that is highly durable and perfect for heavy food preparation. Each style caters to different aesthetic preferences and usage needs, enhancing your kitchen's look and functionality.
With proper care, wood countertops can last anywhere from 20 to 100 years. To keep yours looking like new, clean up spills immediately and reseal the surface regularly—ideally once a month in the first year, then twice a year after that. Regular maintenance helps preserve the wood's beauty and durability for decades.
Wood countertops aren't hard to maintain if you keep up with regular care. Simply clean them with mild soap and water after use and reseal them monthly during the first year (then twice a year afterward). Using a food-grade oil or sealant protects the wood from damage. With a bit of routine maintenance, your countertop will stay beautiful and durable.
Wood countertops are sanitary with proper care and maintenance. By sealing them with a food-grade sealant and cleaning them regularly with mild soap and water, you create a barrier that prevents bacteria from getting into the wood. Always dry the surface thoroughly after cleaning to keep it hygienic and safe for food prep.
It's best to oil raw wood countertops once a month during the first year. After that, you can oil them twice yearly to keep them in good shape. If your countertop is professionally stained or sealed, you might not need to oil it as often. Regular oiling helps prevent drying and cracking, preserving the wood's natural beauty and durability.
