"After years of painting our home it was time to move up to a better solution. After searching the Better Business Bureau for local companies Krumwiede Home Pros stood out. They were top rated with 0 complaints. We were even able to initiate contact for a quote through the BBB. Michael was our salesperson and he was upfront and honest in capabilities and pricing. The pricing was so great we even upgraded to an insulated vinyl siding and we were still under what others quoted. We then met with Ross the production manager who went over every aspect of the job with us. This was great because we worked out any issues ahead of time. There were no surprises and we were all on the same page. The 2 gentlemen who came to do the work were great also. They showed up on time and worked hard everyday. They never left a mess and were easy to communicate with. We are very happy with the whole experience and our house looks awesome! Thanks Krumwiede Home Pros we are happy we met you!"

"We love our new patio enclosure! We debated for 5 years whether or not we truly needed this addition. But finally concluded that we truly did need it! The mosquitoes had a lot to do with our decision to go forward. The workers completed our project in 1 day despite the 90+ degree temperature and high humidity. They removed all boxes and materials before leaving. They were very nice men and very hard workers. We do not hesitate to recommend Envy Home Services for any sunroom or patio enclosure project you may have. This has quickly become the most favorite room in our house!!"

"I was so happy with the work done by Raymond at New Color Cabinet. I was a little apprehensive at first after having read a review, but in the end I’m glad I hired New Color. I wanted my stained cabinet painted white and Raymond did an outstanding job. From explaining the process start to finish and taking care to protect my countertops and all the areas that weren’t being worked on including the floors. I’ll be hiring Raymond and New Color for my next project."

"Absolutely amazing I only rated B on price bc this stuff is expensive anywhere you go.. but I will say as we're nearing the end of my project I feel like I got a massive bargain.. my home is very old & this extremely polite respectful crew went above & beyond to make sure everything was done right. Usually you either get quality work or a courteous crew, Excel managed to have it all! I'm extremely happy with every aspect"

Small jobs welcome
"Jerry and Jerry are the best! There was nothing these guys can't do. They did beautiful custom work, including an in wall fish tank, decorative columns, granite countertops, and a glass tile backsplash. Everything is top notch, and every worker brought in was professional, friendly, and highly skilled. The building inspector signed off the work with no comments. Every time I wanted a design change, Jerry incorporated it right into the plan. You will not find a better value! I looked around and Jerry's prices are much better than other companies, and the work is unbeatable. I just wish I had another basement to finish!"

"I recently had a recessed ceiling range hood installed, and this crew exceeded my expectations. They clearly had deep experience with this kind of setup and managed the entire project smoothly—from adding new wiring to routing ductwork through the ceiling. I hadn’t seen this type of installation in anyone else’s home, so I was a bit unsure going in. But their attention to detail and confident approach quickly put my mind at ease. The final result looks great and works flawlessly. I’d highly recommend them to anyone planning a kitchen upgrade."

Butcher block countertops come in three main styles, each offering a unique look and function. Flat grain, also known as face grain, showcases the natural wood patterns, giving your kitchen a modern and elegant appearance. Edge grain is made from long, narrow wood strips, making it sturdy and providing a consistent grain pattern. End grain features a checkerboard pattern that is highly durable and perfect for heavy food preparation. Each style caters to different aesthetic preferences and usage needs, enhancing your kitchen's look and functionality.
With proper care, wood countertops can last anywhere from 20 to 100 years. To keep yours looking like new, clean up spills immediately and reseal the surface regularly—ideally once a month in the first year, then twice a year after that. Regular maintenance helps preserve the wood's beauty and durability for decades.
Wood countertops aren't hard to maintain if you keep up with regular care. Simply clean them with mild soap and water after use and reseal them monthly during the first year (then twice a year afterward). Using a food-grade oil or sealant protects the wood from damage. With a bit of routine maintenance, your countertop will stay beautiful and durable.
Wood countertops are sanitary with proper care and maintenance. By sealing them with a food-grade sealant and cleaning them regularly with mild soap and water, you create a barrier that prevents bacteria from getting into the wood. Always dry the surface thoroughly after cleaning to keep it hygienic and safe for food prep.
It's best to oil raw wood countertops once a month during the first year. After that, you can oil them twice yearly to keep them in good shape. If your countertop is professionally stained or sealed, you might not need to oil it as often. Regular oiling helps prevent drying and cracking, preserving the wood's natural beauty and durability.
